Are you seeking just a little more gameplay, but without the daunting task of dealing with 100% all treasures? Have I got the categories for you! How do you feel about:
Any% [NooB - Deathless] - This is an early route of NooB before I found death warping could save significant time, and I never came back to improve deathless NooB
Any% [NooB] - After I discovered deaths could save significant time, I started taking some D's to save frames:
Feedback would be welcome.
Hello runners!
We've received the first JP specific time submission over the weekend and I'm asking for runner feedback on whether the game times should be all left together on one board, or if JP times should be kept separate from US times on it's own board?
The big advantage to the JP version is that the fish weights are in KG where as the US weights are in LBS. This means that the JP scales will stop between 5-600kg where as US scales will continue to count up to ~1200LBS. It's a pretty significant time difference especially toward the end game where you're looking for big fish, and we have to see the fish weight twice.
Thoughts?
I kinda feel like if we're going to allow the 2-Character glitch in any%, we might as well just get rid of the 2-Character% category as it's kind of pointless to have if that's the case.
Thoughts?
I have been operating under the impression that 2-character runs are for the 2-character% category for quite a long time...
Walking off screen was originally pointed out by capnshrimpy in a meteor police run. I stumbled into a way to repeatably set it up when despawning Edna in the kitchen. It seems like the character you're controlling off screen must move extremely fast as I was able to traverse the security hallway and up the stairs pretty quick. I've been messing around trying to see if there's someplace it can be put to a decent use.
For anyone interested in TAS videos, ShesChardcore has made a crazy fast TAS that's just been approved on tasvideos.org
With a time of 3:49.73 from power on, it's pretty incredible to watch, check it out if you're into that kind of thing.
I had mentioned that I had made a couple TAS runs last night on my stream and it seemed like some people wanted to see them, so links are below:
Hamsteak % 3:46:
Any % 6:48:
These are the first TAS runs I've ever made, there is still room for improvement on both. The Any% route I wanted to TAS out to see if all the "new tech" glitch stuff could potentially be WR material, but I don't know that it is. I've changed how some stuff is done here, the biggest thing being using the 2nd kid to operate the water valve while Dave is already by the Fridge. I can't seem to run this fast enough to use Dave to turn on the water, do the usual stuff and then get him into the Lab before the house explodes, but using the 2nd kid to operate the water will buy you a little extra time to get Dave into the Lab before the house explodes if you suck like I do. Enjoy.
