I don't plan on submitting runs anytime soon but If I ever do I'll make sure to specify that I use RTs, and I'd be glad to discuss the subject if necessary. (although I doubt many people would be concerned considering it's relatively niche tech lol)
Just to be specific, there are no ways to make a single press multiple inputs, at least without a macro. What rapid triggers do is make the actuation point of the key relative to the distance you press it, rather than the fixed actuation point of a normal keyswitch. I won't get technical here but what I was refering to with multiple inputs is some configurations that makes the key registers inputs when it shouldn't, kinda like a broken key that would sometimes type 2 letters instead of 1 when pressed but that obviously shouldn't be allowed
I'm a keyboard player who uses a sayodevice O3C, a keypad with configurable rapid trigger. I use it primarily to shoot fast because I use the same hand for jumping and shooting, and jittering is hurting my hand on my current keyswitches.
On one hand I feel like it should be fine because it's not a big advantage compared to a mechanical keyboard; you still have to press, release the key and master your technique. But at the same time you can put some ridiculously low RT range settings so that even the slighest touch registers as multiple inputs. I really want it to be allowed but I get that putting restrictions on specific settings is much harder than simply ban this type of keyboards.
