Even then I think you guys are already aware of downpatching the game and know how to do it, as it seems you have a misc category for an older (?) patch.
I know im not a part of this community, but I do watch all the speedruns lol. Speaking to a few people (like a man named Dalet, idk if he does this thing anymore or not) but you can easily downpatch most games. Not sure if that's the route you want to take with this, but it's a pretty viable option.
I apologize to you BT if this upsets you, or anything I have said upsets ANYONE. At this point, I just want to do runs again without all the confusion as to where to start. You have done a lot for the community, but so have many people that voted towards starting at the freezer. I respect you as a runner and a person in general. A simple disagreement won't change that. But at some point we have to put our foot down and look at the numbers. Why does your position on the leaderboards make your vote anymore valid than me, who has a 1 hour IGT time? You have provided very very valid points, but when we provide legitimately 1 month for anyone who at least somewhat cares about the game, and then when we have it all sorted and are about to make the change, and you THEN have a problem with it, it's a bit aggravating. I apologize for Asylix's reaction, I'm not sure what got into him. Hes a very nice guy and runner in general. But I think at this point we are all aggravated. We all just want to do runs and this new freezer starting point was influencing many inactive runners to want to do runs again as well.
It's funny how we can give this a MONTH and after everything is over and being put into play THEN people have an issue with it. If you want your opinion to be heard and counted upon, i believe being at least present in the community, not active, not persistent, just present, in the community is needed. Why would we go out of our way to contact you when you haven't gone out of your way to care about or be apart of this game's community?
Many of us have voted on this, including people "not currently doing runs" because those people are still A PART OF THE COMMUNITY.
And if changing FPS in a run to not fucking crash is a TAS, well by all means my PB is a TAS.
Ewil please run this game and tell me what you think. You literally are the most thickskulled guy i have ever seen and you don't even speedrun this game. Why does this effect you? How? You can't just trash a million communities because you don't like what they do. We all voted on this, and we all had time to vote. Whether or not YOU think this is moral or whatever is NOT RELEVANT. If it helps you sleep at night, Bubbles Del Fuego will forever have the "Any% With Intro" WR buddy :)
The reason the Freezer is considered the "real" beginning of the run is because that is when we gain FULL control of our character. It's not like we're just tired of the tutorial and want to skip it. Maybe that's why this was brought up, because all runners will learn to hate it. It's dreadful and wastes time. However there are way too many communities that skip tutorials or start in other areas.
I don't think a better time should make your opinion any more valid than the guy on the bottom of the leaderboard.
I don't think we should give runners a time penalty because they want to have fun with the speedrun rather than do... yknow... THAT. If we choose as a community to start at the freezer and retime all runs i would be happy to help.
Fair enough. Will times be retimed? if so there is probably 0 reason to not start at the freezer.
I like starting the timer at 0 there, however this kind of takes away from people that grinded through tutorial for a good time. But you can please everyone, and i think starting at 0 from the freezer will please the most people.
We don't have very many runners, that's for sure. And we have even less active runners.
But, nonetheless, the choice is yours, do you guys want a discord? It'd just be a place to talk about running the game and strats and whatever else you guys want to do lol
This game just... crashes. not much else we can say. After the first boss, assuming you mean PJ fight, that is not a normal crash we get. the most common stages crashes occur on are : Shibuya GG, Love Trap, and sometimes Grind Square/Rock n Roll Grind. Not too much I can help you with, except to run the game through a debugger like some runners do.

So you're saying if I am late on the load warp the first time, I can just load warp to the teleporter room instead of having to go through the door and then try load warping again?
