Hello, I am a series mod for A Hat in Time and would like the Category Extensions leaderboard to be added to the series.
https://www.speedrun.com/ahitce https://www.speedrun.com/ahitseries
I can make myself available at any time, but I would prefer to run on either Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday morning. I have school during the week and need time to travel.
Would it be possible to display both the english name of a game, as well as the Japanese name at the same time? I moderate a series where the game names make the most sense in Japanese, but are mostly remembered by their english names.
Something like...
English Name (Japanese Name) Japanese Name (English Name)
This wasn't created by me, but I was told to put it on here for those who want to use it. :)
This is the same one Glacials used in his run.
I've noticed that it is difficult at times to insert my pencil into the sharpener, as it just moves about on its own unpredictably. Sometimes it goes in instantly, sometimes it takes a while to get it in. Are there any strats to make it more consistent?

Splits can be as long or as short as you would like. In this game's situation, you could make splits for each level, or even objectives within levels.
I don't see why not, unless the emulator somehow speeds the game up.
To solve that issue, maybe someone could make an autosplitter for this game? I'd make one but have zero programming experience.
Since this game is getting to the point of being extremely optimized, would it be possible to enable milliseconds on this leaderboard?
If we are doing in-game time, could you add that option to the leaderboards? Should be a checkmark or something for it.
I have an idea for timing in this game that would make it fair for everyone, regardless if they run on a console or a PC. Console load times are much, much slower than a PC's load time, and would put them at a disadvantage.
So, how about taking all the times from each track and add them up at the end?
Kirby Air Ride does this, and allows for fair competition for everyone, regardless if they run on GameCube, Wii, or emulator.
What do you think?
According to the rules (in the other thread) golds are not required. Just beat all the maps in the category as fast as you can in a single segment. :)
I'm pretty sure they do support sub categories, but the way it works right now is pretty weird.
So for this game, it's the same rules as TM2, right? As in, we can start from a profile that has all levels unlocked?
Here's a Discord server for all interested in speedrunning this game.
