As it has caused a bit of controversy (thank you Lillymon), I will once and for all clarify whether fishtailing is a glitch, a bug, or an intended feature.
Let's start off with the definitions of glitch and bug: The word bug is usually used when an intended game state is not achievable, due to an unforeseen issue in the game's code. i.e., you are unable to complete a level (or a boss doesn't spawn, etc.) due to an error in the code.
The word glitch is usually used when an unintended game state is achievable, due to an unforeseen issue in the game's code. i.e., you are able to clip through the ground (or advance to a part of a quest that normally requires more objectives to be met) due to an error in the code.
Additionally, "glitch" is used to refer to issues with graphics and sound in a way that "bug" almost never is.

Now you might think "okay so it is a glitch, because it is unintended to go that fast", right? Here's where you are wrong, and I will explain why:
- NOT every car is able to fishtail, it depends on the car's physics model, I have yet to figure out which values make it possible for a car to fishtail.
- If you have opened up assets_p.dat (this contains ALL the settings of the game), and navigate to "tune\race\losangeles", you will find 2 files that will catch your attention:
- laaitest_personalitytest_fishtail.rac
- laaitest_personalitytest_fishtail.rinf
Some files related to fishtailing can also be found under "tune\race\test2"
So what does this mean? Simple, fishtailing is an intended feature of the game!
Therefore, it will NOT be marked as a bug or as a glitch, and it will NOT be put into a separate category.
I hope this has clarified whether or not fishtailing should be considered as a glitch, or should be put into a separate category or not.

Current ruleset for any% is kind of weird, especially when you need to stop the timer. Why stop it at "continue career" when you already know you beat career when you finish Savo's final race? Until we find any other way to trigger that last scene with Savo, I feel like it's better if we stop the timer as soon as you finish his last race. This does mean that the current WR holder gets to take a few seconds off his time.
100% already has this kind of ruleset (end timer when everything unlocked, which is as soon as you get the SLF450X), so that's fine.
New categories: Ng+%: Start career when you already have unlocked the Veloci. Free to use whatever car you want. Timer starts as soon as you start career, and ends when you finish Savo's last race.
Bike% (option 1): Start career from scratch, get the first bike as soon as possible (Cohete), and from that point on only use bikes. Timer starts as soon as you start career, and ends when you finish Savo's last race.
Bike% (option 2): Start career after already having beaten Savo, use whichever bike you want. Timer starts as soon as you start career, and ends when you finish Savo's last race.
Arcade%: speaks for itself (complete arcade mode as soon as possible, you can use a save file that has completed career mode). Timer starts as soon as you start arcade mode, and ends as soon as you unlock the SLF450X.
Any% extreme: use the cheat howhardcanitbe 9 before starting career, then follow rules of standard any%. Must show you entering the cheat correctly in the run, otherwise it will be considered as invalid.
