We appreciate your ire with this, however the combination of mods that are irrelevant for verification purposes was causing issues and we needed to tackle it somewhere, and unfortunately that was with this most recent run which was causing issues with our verification methods.

If you really wish for us to be consistent, we can remove your other runs also, however this was the one that caused issue for our team to verify and was thus removed and we have no plans to reinstate this run. We apologise that this may seem strict however it's too much effort to try and cater for people adding too many files into runs as possible that frankly do not need to be there. This mod is not necessary to do your runs in Green Flower Zone, thus won't ever be considered. If this was a necessity like Momentum Mod runs (which are currently banned on this board due to too much variance, but if they were not) that would be another matter, however as it stands it's causing too much hassle and too many people are doing this.

We must reiterate that this must be annoying, you put the work in, however our team simply cannot keep attempting to verify runs that simply do not load properly because of mods being loaded that do not need to be there. We will happily update our rules to reflect this and make it more clear however runs have been rejected in the past and continue to for this reason.

Also to fully empathise, the mod you loaded specifically had a different MD5 hash code than the mod should have to be legal. We're not sure why this is but that is an instant ban for verification purposes.

Hello @ggjonjon I'm glad to hear you're motivated for the category. Normally for things to be added we try and vet them in our discord server and see that there is a little bit of an interest in it before we push it through, so feel free to join in on the discussion and hopefully get more folks interested :)

A big issue with this right now is that this would highly differ from normal Individual Levels which require a .lmp file, so it'd be the only IL on any leaderboard to have an exception. One that can be made of course but it's why the category is not there right now.

Also I don't know when this screenshot was taken, as only 2 people are on that leaderboard, but it seems your run is quite out of date as runs nowadays are really quite fast https://www.speedrun.com/Shadow_Generations?h=sunset-heights-act-2-normal&x=l_dno5j2qw-n2yzwr8k So it's hard to take your 2nd point unfortunately, however don't let it discourage you from joining our discord and interacting with the community :D

Good to see you're enjoying the game. Since this is such an old version of the game it won't be on the leaderboards due to how many versions exist and we are trying to keep leaderboards relevant, however if you wish to play the game that way feel free!

If you need help with porting I would probably suggest messaging on the Forums on srb2.org as they will more accurately be able to assist you.

Not allowed for Marathon Mode only. So long as it replays properly in IL's it's fine. We're going to be making a ruling on it soon but for many reasons we just don't have a satisfying "fix" to adding these sorts of cosmetics, unfortunately

@Almulescent Wdym what is stopping us? Runners of the category lmao. When we add stuff generally there's some sort of demand by a few runners and then we will talk amongst it how said board should be added. There's no real reason to just add something based on zero runs and zero attention for it to just sit there :P

Again, it's good to see your enthusiasm, however we don't accept board requests via the SRC forums. We gauge interest in the community via what the community says in the active discord server and try and make sure it's a good addition to the series by adding it, otherwise you would not believe how many empty boards would exist now!

Thanks for your hype around the game, always love to see it. To be honest a lot of our vetting for new boards comes from our discord as we try and add mod packs that are taken by the community to avoid them being empty which has happened a few times. If you keep doing some runs that'll certainly up the likelihood of such a board existing, but we'd likely need more active runners of the pack to seriously consider it at this point

@Blazing_Dragon We could add something like this however generally we need a few runners of the categories to really justify adding them. If you and some folks who run it can show you have runs of it either here or in our Discord server we can look into it :)

@el3ctr0h3ll Hello, you cannot use the input viewer mod for full game runs. And also colour palettes using the in game settings is fine but if you mean by a certain mod or something you'd had to confirm it with mods in the discord (as that is the easiest place to contact and see messages) to see it's all fine

From what we can see, there has only been 3 runs of old Espio, these have been changed with the dropdown version "Legacy", and future versions will just run "current". The general consensus to boards is to attempt to run with the most up to date version as possible, this is to make it highly available to as many runners as possible and also respect the original creators.

Hope that helps. Sadly there's no easy fix and monitoring to this kind of thing since there is a sort of endless amount of mods out there.

Before I made a tutorial on how to submit a run for a character that was not on the board, since Speedrun.com's recent changes this is no longer possible, please follow these steps to get new characters added to the board:

1. Click Submit run
2. Enter category as usual
3. Keep character as "Dropdown for characters"
4. Enter time as usual, if you're submitting an Individual Level speedrun then only use the In-Game time field
5. For video if your run is RTA then please provide a link to this and ensure the run is done in Marathon Mode with In-Game time selected. If you cannot do this you need the custom game data found here
6. If your mod is an older version of a mod please select "Legacy" under the mod version, otherwise keep this the same
7. If your run is an individual level then please provide the link to your .lmp replay file, if you cannot get into Record Attack because the game is saying that it is modified then revert to step 5
8. Regardless of what run it is, submit the master board link to your character and the version (if it is an older version).
9. Click submit :)

Hopefully that helps, ideally you'd just add the character yourself but that has been changed for the worst :C

@VyPr can't. Whenever we change ANYTHING to do with the variable we get that error message. It's impossible to even attempt to rectify tbh

I noticed there was a bug fix recently however this issue is still persisting and still had no response from my bug reports. Is it possible to look into this at all or even acknowledge that this'll be looked into at all?

I'm a moderator for the SRB2 games, and one of these includes our infinitely expandable "Category Extensions" leaderboard, where users can submit runs under "User Defined" and add to the list of names. This worked well until recent changes, now it seems that users cannot submit like this, but this isn't our only issue.

We CANNOT change the boards. Under "Variables" if we wish to add, remove, or reorder the list of characters, we get this error. Not sure what's prompting it, but it stops us even changing the variable from a "sub category" (what it should be but seems that user defined submissions were removed from here) to an annotation which may fix our prior issue but for that we don't know.

I reported 2 bug reports of this, it got "Approved", whatever that means in this scenario, I still get this issue, I've not been messaged regarding it. I posted to the Supporter forums and got no answers so I'm coming here. Not sure why our boards can no longer be maintained but obviously it's not great for us for it to be malfunctioning this way so hopefully someone can respond.

Update This situation was resolved. Thankfully a site mod helped me out, we had a name simply called "-" removing the quotation marks, it worked before for the way we had our board set up before but nowadays if you have a variable like that one then it'll return this error. Thank you to Meta in getting this solved.

If there are no archives of the character online then you may need to DM the original creator and ask if there are any archives due to this error (or ask they change the character to work as intended here). If not and someone approaches us with the file then we can host the file on this site for access and I'll let you know it's there but for now I don't know anyone who has that version of Maimy.

I have looked into this and decided to apply the filter "Mod version", it is a user defined variable so you can enter the version of mod you are using or apply the "Current", "Legacy", filters that I added for convenience to not go through all those modded characters and apply each version individually. It's just a small bit of text on your submission to say what mod version you used but the boards will stay together to avoid getting messy with segregation.
