This is almost the same as the current timing method (current timing starts one frame earlier). I don't see why we should change it.
edit: thought you were proposing new timing rules, the post should say "Time Starts on the last frame when the time has 0:00:00"
The one that you uploaded an hour ago is fine, the run from yesterday is invalid.
@Blueboye2311 You started recording after you started the run, so it can't be verified. There's most likely no way to fix it unless you somehow have a recording which includes the part that is missing in your current video.
For future runs, just start the video a few seconds before you get speed in level 1, just like you did in your new submission. (btw please don't ask questions like this in unrelated threads - a new thread, speedrun.com messages or Discord are better places for that)
@RagingBagon https://github.com/Dalet/LiveSplit.FocusedHotkeys/releases ("A LiveSplit component that enables global hotkeys only when specified programs have focus.")
Just join an sr4 server, open LiveSplit, add the component (-> Edit Layout -> Control -> Focused Hotkeys) and choose whatever the game's process name is from the list. By using this you can type in your browser, Discord, etc. without accidentally starting/resetting your splits (typing in roblox chat will still trigger your hotkeys for obvious reasons).
@Jadewater shift key (or ctrl if the run requires using shiftlock)
You probably got speed before your video started. Sometimes we can't be 100% sure whether a player has speed before running past the yellow line (f.e. if they start right in front of the line & the ingame timer is running already) so we reject those runs in most cases. However, you can prevent this from happening by resetting the ingame timer before starting a new run.
Your timer uses frames (.00 to .29) instead of hundredths (.00 to .99) so the actual time would be 1:57.167
The timer is reset whenever you leave and rejoin the game, but you don't have to do that everytime because it's not used for timing (it's not very accurate).
Not using Livesplit isn't a problem either, just record your gameplay in an acceptable quality and you should be fine as the mods will retime your run anyway. If you want to make it easier for them, reset the IL Timer (the one right below the gem counter) on Level 1 before you start a new run.
you are not a moderator it seems to me no? :L
I did IL runs, those are very easy to verify. But you're right, 6 weeks is too long for any run.
Sub 2 will never happen. It's literally impossible. A lie, a myth, a farce propagated by the government to mislead the ignorant. Anyone who thinks it's possible is stupid and should feel ashamed, and can wallow in their own lack of intelligence. This is an irreversible fact of speedrunning and simply cannot be challenged. Go cry about it, nerds.
you get new dimensions for completing the game (level 30) several times. Moon is the only dimension that's unlockable with a code.
