It's worth mentioning that this strat isn't required to get any 5.6x
Please do not submit times with decimals. 99% of the time they are inaccurate human inputs on LiveSplit so shouldn't even be considered. To the very few people that retime their videos (properly), we currently only use milliseconds on top times of short categories for tidiness purposes. It creates extra unnecessary effort to verify times that need to have the milliseconds removed. Thanks
To have all of that you'll need a 3.x, doesn't matter which one
Just don't. It requires good movement with a good lineup and a frame perfect jump with speed from a dustless rollout from a jump dive in a good place.
If you can't get LBLJ then you won't be able to do SBLJ
Why are you doing CCM slide instead of talon star? You're losing ~10 seconds for no reason at all.
With that adapter you will have increased input delay compared to Raphnet. I used Mayflash for a little just 'cause I had it and I definitely have way more input delay compared to N64 (and I even use an old LCD TV, not a CRT). I haven't used a Raphnet adapter but that is what people recommend using and say that it has less input delay than Mayflash.
Ye you should get an official controller with a Raphnet adapter and use Project64 v1.6. You can apply the knowledge and movement you have over to console when/if it gets to the point you decide to switch. However, it will take some getting used to as the input delay wouldn't be the same necessarily and you will have to learn a bunch of lag reductions (which will also make you have to hold different angles)
Thanks to Shans for pointing out the ability to change the VI refresh rate in this version. You can see the difference in this video (credit to wrm):
This applies to future runs, past runs (probably not many as 1.7 isn't used much) will stay.
Don't think anyone has ever brought that up before and now for me personally I think not only should changing that number not be allowed, I think not allowing 1.7 should be the step forward here (I don't think this option is in 1.6). Will see what the other mods say.
Because N64 is the standard and if we allowed emulator and VC for single star, they'd have to have their own leaderboard similar to the standard categories because lag and loading times would mean you'd have to use VC to get the fastest time. Single star is already niche enough, to have a separate leaderboard for emu and VC just isn't worth it.
While the process of showing the emulator used before, throughout or at the end of the run was helpful in some ways, overall it wasn't as beneficial as the effort needed to maintain it. We think that people get the message about cheating/stealing runs so we've decided that you no longer have to show proof that you're using Project64 v1.6 for the time being. If we think it may be a problem some time in the future, it's possible it will come back. If you have recently had a run rejected for not knowing, forgetting or not showing enough proof, please resubmit. Thanks
Alright so I've went through and rejected every run he had submitted which by the way didn't have any vids so I don't even know if they were all cheated or not but no vids so hey makes it easier.
For the record, 'PAL WR' isn't a thing. You're talking about bad times on a bad version and yes you are 100% correct that people do not care about PAL times. They're not WR runs and the fact you're trying to claim they are is laughable.
I am from England and I was more than happy to pay £40 for my console, games and controllers. Hundreds of dollars? You just have no idea at all, do you?
Should just stop replying 'cause they don't get it. It's easy to say shit from the outside.
