@Calabres_a that is any%
I think every IC in the game is possible without any jumps. I don't think you discovered anything new.
That already exists it’s called major glitches goofy
Won’t happen because
-
Boring category
-
Try describing it more because I don’t know if you want floorless% or you just want to do an major glitches run
-
No actual challenge
-
The mods haven’t added a new category for a year or more
@stEv3900 but there is a lot of strats that can't be used because of it being strictly alpha ice creams,
@stEv3900 that category is only for alpha ice creams (knoddy resort, turtle tops, ice cream on the observatory and the free one in the hub). The category excludes the rest of the game
@stEv3900 where is it in the category extensions????????
yeah so far i only got to the backflip dive, jump off spin, at the tutorial
Is the mod blind or something? This is 18.9 not 18.009. I thought at first there was some huge glitch or something
the TAS i am making can't go forward or back frames, it cannot freeze or slowdown frames. This makes it super hard to TAS, you basically have to eyeball the inputs and just do trial and error a million times
basically i see for some of the categories players using their continued save. So i am just wondering if you could make a new game and collect the needed IC (in this case Portal%).
and if you can, could we be able to use mod zone 2 ? (since create a new game every single time would be annoying)
and if you are wondering why would i even do this
-
sic warps
-
the observatory fake sun plug in makes neo door slower
-
i am mentally insane
-
it's funny
also technically it isn't a TAS but more of a TAS segmented run
the TAS is 100% possible, but it takes a long time to do. I'm taking the BTT route for the TAS, so if anybody else is insane enough to make TAS segments that would be cool
@Thed3x7er500 also, i kind of found a way.
Using Pulover Macro, you have to move the screen by a few pixels, just to turn about 45 degrees, i believe it is 29 pixels required to turn to do about 90 degrees. Remember that results won't be the same every time, so it is a long process. so far i am at the part in the tutorial where you jump off the wall and spin, i will keep people updated on the progress i am making. I would have to say that the TAS might be fully finished in 5 months to a year
@Thed3x7er500 bro what is your name??????
Maybe @EmK530 and @ThePokemonkey123 could work together to make a Robot 64 TAS creator, but as i said before, it would be terrible to code, and Pulover’s Macro Creator might be an easier way
Also I think @ThePokemonkey123, @EmK530, and @Whytte might be able to help the best (mostly Whytte as I remember him using Pulover’s macro in Robot 64 before)
Currently, I am working on some macros (Like a rmlaunch macro, which does rmlaunches pretty fast, and an infinite shift dive that shift dives as fast as possible) I currently do all my macros on Pulovers Macro Creator. I really want to create a TAS for this game. Right now I can do the movements like jumping, diving, spinning, etc. but the BIGGEST problem is the camera. Usually what I do with my macros is that i record my movements and Pulover puts it in the program. Except, moving the camera comes out weird. For example, if i recorded myself moving the camera 180 degrees, it would come out only turning the camera like 5 or 10 degrees (this isn’t the exact measurements, it’s more just like an example) . If somebody could help me with this it would be wonderful. Although, i have one theory that might work but only with a modzone. The modzone camera doesn’t really move smoothly, if you don’t know what i am talking about basically if you try to move your camera a tiny bit, it usually moves by intervals by 1 degree (or something like that) so, if i could figure out how much i need to turn my mouse, to turn the camera by 1 interval, i could probably make a TAS for this game.
Although, there is another option, but probably requires TONS of coding and work. Basically someone could use EmK’s slow motion mod, probably find a way to go foward and backwards a frame, and use savestates, and the end, it would make Tool Assisted Speedruns a lot easier to make. But of course i could imagine it would be awful to code
If anybody could help that would be awesome!
Also sorry if you can’t understand this, i tried my best to word it good
