There aren't any runs on the F-1WGP 1 boards either - the game just runs too differently on emulator.
There's nothing stopping you from running the game on emulator if you want to - the times just won't be ranked against N64 times.
Worth checking out The Emu-Lite if you're interested. There's mods to make GE and PD run at a buttery smooth 60fps. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ1fSmVNGX-Bbxw7MEz_eBw
If you want to know why emulator isn't ranked against console then I suggest comparing the following: Emu Train Agent 42 - N64 Train Agent 57 (the current world record) -
Using https://www.speedrun.com/requestgame you can add a new game to the site - they normally need a run completed before adding a new game
Professional and Champion difficulties still have the trigger points for the spins that occur when you get the "They've given you a warning flag" on the radio - so they'll effectively be no skips even with flags off.
Do you have any thoughts on allowing the Gold/Silver drivers? The game is pretty broken when using the Gold driver, given you can get over 600 kph.
All makes sense to me, and completely agree we've got enough full game categories for the moment
Good thing about no flags is we can go really aggressive on corner cutting - no warning flags. That will be fun to test the limits on.
For timing start/stop, should we start this from file select (same as Challenge). Stop on the last menu input before the podium ceremony?
To summarise;
Flags: Off Damage: On 97 Events: On
Sounds good to me.
Happy with flags off
I'd like to keep 97 events on, keeps some varience in conditions, but not full random Think that damage should be on too
But I'm not admin, feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt. just wanted to start the conversation
Hi guys,
I did a (really poor) first run at Grand Prix mode today, just on Rookie difficulty.
Per the rules I had the race length set to 4 laps, but there's a few other options that we should probably decide on;
97 Events: On/Off Damage: On/Off Flags: On/Off
I had all of these set to On for my run, and my suggestion would be for all of these to be required as On in the rules - but I'm interested in your thoughts
Just a thought on the three Grand Prix modes, should we have the difficulty as a sub category rather than as 3 full categories.
Just thinking there's not many people running this game, don't want to spread too thin
Think we should just have Any% and 100%.
All Levels won't be significantly faster than 100%; you could go a little faster in Defense C and Ultimate and that's about it.
Is HSV Adventure Racing accepted in this game? It's basically just a palette swap.
Hey Zodastone, thanks for checking in. Agree that a split to Any% and All Levels (100%) would make sense.
You appear to be a moderator for the game, can you make this happen?
Can I propose a change to the ruleset for Challenge Mode? Ultimate is unlocked by getting 60 points, so the requirement to score a point in each challenge slows this run down by about 10 mins.
This would bring it closer to an Any% run. We could also require 5 on all stages and 25 on Ultimate for a 100% run

Also, ZodaStone ran Challenge Mode as a 100% category, requiring a 5 in each challenge and a 25 on ultimate.
Suggest that we either split Challenge Mode in to Any% and 100% categories (where any% drops the 'score in all challenges' requirement, or that Challenge Mode requires 100%.
Thoughts?
