I remember falling off that cliff for half an hour looking for some nonsense like this, I'm so proud of how far this game has come, and the ceaseless progress of the community. Incredible run!
what I did:
- Beat the game
- Unlock all vehicles, drive with them. This means a 3 star time on all stages in time trials
- Watch route videos (may happen during step 2)
- Try out those routes, this will likely involve playing the courses backwards
- Mess around for a few hours
- watch the any% and IL WRs
- Mess around for a few hours
- do some runs
I was thinking it might be funny to have a category where you have to obey regional traffic laws, stay on one side of the road, no drifting/jumps, I'll record a run as a demo. Edit: nvm tried it, very satan
Also yeah, no big inherent problems, more preference/feel than immediate need for change.
I consider Any% to be beating the game as fast as possible, and beating this game from launch (if it could be called beating it) requiring besting each ai race on normal or higher difficulty. I realize most runs violate the later, and this wasn’t established anywhere, just how I’m used to seeing an any% category set up, and I want some discussion on it at least. Sorry for previous comments saying it’s vague/unclear, I am just stupid.
Guess this is a good time to ask people’s opinions on whether Time Trial runs (Any% runs where time trials is used for each lap rather than races) should be put in the any% category as is. The rules don’t specify so it’s allowed, and I wanted get a consensus.
- Any% rules should stay the same.
- Add rule/forum post verifying time trial runs are allowed
- Future runs shouldn’t be done in time trials.
- Add a side stat like for vehicle type that shows which each run is.
- Make an Any% Time Trials category
- Other
Brought this up because of the recent thread, wanted to see what the community wanted to do, hope to get some discussion going.
press the button next to "Game Time and Auto Splitting are available (by fatalis)" that says "Activate" to get the auto splitter. For cut scene skips, there are a variety. I'd recommend watching waezone's tutorials, he has 2 live tutorials
and he is currently making a more up to date tutorial series https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL84A17W6AtxVTZ7aErwsj94UOjwqqj_m-
these should give you most of the information you need, and the rest of his channel has some in depth tutorials on Red letter day skip, breenblast yesclip, and more.

Some ideas if your phone has a camera: Resting on top/off the side of a table. Set it on your chest, use t-shirt to keep stable (what I do). Have someone else record. Put a small box/misc object in your lap, lean the phone against that.
No real point in removing it, no real point in having it, there are already runs, so long as gj isn’t very negatively effecting the base game we good.
only thing I can think of is that you aren't hitting the load zone.
A problem is what actually qualifies as a glitch. Abh and the clips are obvious, but what about holding a strafe key and scrolling while walking up stairs? Or grenade/smgnade skips.
I've seen it done a lot, but I can't find any guides on how to get stuck in props.
NVM JUST GIVES YOU WEAPONS YOU ALREADY HAD
I was mashing save during a load zone to save quickly, and the game gave me weapons.

I’m assuming it means you play from before the load zone of the chapter, but I wanted to make sure before I tried any runs.
press start a new game and click each chapter to learn where they start
