If you do a coop run of any single-player category, I'll add coop categories. If anyone does it, just send me the video link if you do a run either through DM or on this forum
Sounds good I'll pin this thread. Icarus with the randomizer would be really cool, I'll consider adding it soon as a misc category. Anyone can feel free to leave any other ideas here.
Updates to the randomizer will be posted here, so make sure to check before doing a session of runs to ensure you are on the latest version of the randomizer. Current version of the randomizer as of this post is v1.2.0. The latest version can always be found here.
It counts for both, just submit the run with the timestamp of the end of the run. I'm a former mod so you can trust me :)
More details as to why we made our decision to ban Dream can be found on this Document or on this Forum Post, which is less detailed.
Yeah you can use whatever seed you want.
No, the mods will retime it for you and add milliseconds if necessary.
@PhantomXD I would recommend making a Twitch highlight of the video and submitting that, or you can download the VOD and trim it, then upload to Youtube. If you upload it to Youtube it will be much easier for us to retime. If you do submit the entire VOD, you can just leave timestamps but it may take a while to be verified depending on the length of the stream.
Piglin brutes aren't considered a boss so they likely won't be added.
Verification depends on the queue length, a while ago it was very low but right now it is at 132, so just be patient and your runs will be verified. Usually it would take about a week.
If you are connecting a controller via bluetooth then you need to use a third party application to prevent delay, I had the same issue with a DS4 bluetooth controller. For Android, you can use Bluetooth Auto Connect, but idk about IOS.
It took a heck ton of resets but it was just insane RNG, which I usually don't get. I don't agree with this new rule because many new runners would not follow this rule, and I use behavior packs for TAS runs (tool-assisted speedrun, which aren't allowed on the leaderboard) so showing behavior packs wouldn't really do anything, and plus if a behavior pack was used in a run, it would be shown turning on in world generation (although this can be spliced).
Go to the run, then click on the 3 dots and click "edit run", you'll be able to change it to random seed.
I usually spawn into the world, and I will only continue is there is a village in sight. I would kill the golem, make a bucket, and get all of the basic stone tools. Grab hay for good food and set off to find a lava pool. Ravines and surface pools are good, but you may have to go into a cave to find one, which is risky if the cave is just a dead end. Once you make it to the nether (5-8 minutes is an ideal time) you need to hope that you have a fortress and a bastion, so look out for those. If you are underground and spot a stronghold, make sure to keep note of that. There is so much you need to a random seed speedrun, so make sure to capitalize on the really good seeds, as I only found about 2 god seeds out of 550 searched. So much more I could share but don't want to make a super long reply. Contact me if you need.
It could be an idea to add categories that didn't start upon world creation, such as runs that could be done in pre-existing worlds. An example could be fastest wither/ender dragon kill, from the time that they were summoned to the time that they were killed, and you could have as much time as you want to prepare for it. It may not be the best idea, but it's something and I'll just put it out there. My friends and I are doing this for our realm and it is quite fun.
