As we can see in the new run a significantly worse run beat out the previous run by the same person because of the fact that it is ranked by IGT that is not currently working. marcf99 old run was a 1:38:27 real time while the new run is a 1:43:58 so 5 minutes worse.
Using IGT as previously mentioned give a gigantic advantage when it comes to yomi and stocks since both of those are on a separate timer which make any extra real time practically free time save.
I don't think I was super careful about the RTAs when I verified some of these since we were primarily using IGT, but if we want to go back and retime the RTAs I'm for that.
Also I feel like it might make sense to bring in another moderator who is more knowledgeable about this game than me. I was the first runner but I have one of the worst runs.
I have a bit of a dumb question. First regarding IGT vs RTA. I had an unofficial run recently with a raw time (RTA?) of 1:32:28. I’m not a speed runner nor a competitive gamer, but how would I see my IGT to judge if there was any browser lag?
Second, if I’d like to record and submit an official run, assuming with luck in the market I could probably knock a few minutes off my current time to get the new record, how would I submit a run?
Once again, completely new to submitting speed runs here. Is there a certain timing software and screen recording you guys recommend for Windows?
Thanks! Alex
P.S. I do have a screenshot of the 1hr 32 min unadjusted time with no cheats used and auto clicker as standard. I know it doesn’t count but I’d love to submit an official run someday :)
You can't use an autoclicker. IGT is displayed at the top when the run finish it should always be lower than the RTA time (usually quite substantially lower). You can use livesplit and obs for recording and timing.
How did you measure your RTA time?
