Can someone please explain how the cooldown for the feedbacker punch works? sometimes I punch once and it takes a full second to punch again, sometimes I can do 4 coin punches in a single second, what gives? also yes this is about the V2 kill in 1-4.
There's a basic cooldown between the punches(usually being reset with slams like in 0-3, 0-5, 1-3, 1-4, etc) and there's an exhaustion modifier that limits you from spaming parries (caps at 3 punches blank or parry) after you reach the cap you need to wait for it to recharge
so that means in 1-4 I should slam, coin punch 3 times with that slam, then slam again for my 4th?
I assume you need to slam before each of last 2 punches (3 punches if you didn't count the very first coinpunch)
nvm I watched your run you gotta slam for every punch except the very first one
This is just wrong information. Slamming has no effect on punches. The slams are just to reposition so you can punch at the right time.
The punch does have a base cooldown which lasts until the arm is finished recoiling (before it starts to drop down) you can swap between arms to skip this cooldown but if you are trying to parry then you would have to double swap which is neither easy nor very usefull as you will very quickly run into arm exhaustion.
The only thing you need to worry about its the arm exhaustion which builds up the more you punch and limits how soon you can punch again. Typically you can get three quick punches out before the exhaustion builds up to the point where the arm fully drops before you can punch again. The important thing is the three punches are not all at the same tempo as with each punch you have to wait a little longer before you can punch again. if you are having trouble with the cool down you are just punching too quickly for one of the punches. I would recommend just booting into the start of any level and just punch to get a feel for the cooldowns for each of the punches.
also if you are punching the glass before you enter the fight you will likely have some exhaustion before you do the coin parries which would mess up the timings and over make the kill slower so I would recommend not doing that.
