I just have an idea, i don’t know if we can gain Time with this new route. On world 3, we take missile, then we drive turtle car. After the second barrage, we have a building who have scrolls. Time lost of we pick up them is about 40 seconds. But we can make fast kill on boss of world 3, one shot many ennemys who needs 2 bo hits, and finally, on thé world 4 (the airport), we don’t have to take sewers to save Mike and take scrolls.

I don’t know how much Time we can save, but I think it’s possible to win couple of seconds. I don’t test it yet. If somebody wan’t to test it ;).

I always use the bullding 3 that you said. It includes a scroll and a rope. Also if your Turtle has the boost, you kill Mechaturtle disguise form in 3 hits and 3 hits for Mechaturtle real form.

But is not 40 seconds, try it, is 1 minute exact.

But don't forget one important thing, beware or be careful of the shitty weapon drop. I put in a Turtle that waits to Mechaturle battle, in this case for me Leonardo.

This route is the best for me to get the estimate of 25 minutes that you need in official events. But you can't have a WR with this route, you will be minium one minute behind. But ask master Skunky, Whit and Red to hear what do they think.

My PB is 20:30 and I use this 3rd builnding, I am happy with that. And I have beat the game even with cave 3 in 22 minutes as my PB.

I've thought about that too. I think I looked into it a while back but I don't remember what I came up with. I didn't time it extensively.

If I'm thinking about it correctly, the time you lose by going into the building to get the scrolls and leaving/death warp needs to be less than the time you save with the mechaturtle fight and going the shorter route in the airport.

You'll also be able to save hits on all the boomerang guys and fireguys that are blocking your way and/or sub bosses in the later parts of Area 3 and Airport. I'm thinking there are at least 7 enemies like that where you currently do not have the scroll weapons for.

But on the negative side, that's a long ways to go to avoid weapon drops. I feel like it's almost guaranteed you'll come across at least one drop. Also by killing some of those boomerang/fire guys you might affect the enemy sets in some of the levels.

I've blabbered long enough. I'm just writing down my stream of thoughts. I won't be trying to investigate that path you suggested yet but I might in the future, but would like to hear from someone who might know more about it.

I remember looking at it a long time ago and didn't think it was a time save (I believe the faster path in level 4 is about a 12 second time save), but so many things have changed at this point, so who knows. It would be cool to see a comparison video of the two routes.
