(ROUTE) Classic - Sick

Note: I don't include point optimizing in this route. It is very important though, because Sick difficulty requires very large point sums for the Sick Score goal, especially in the later levels.

BARCELONA:
- Collect COMBO letters
- Grind world's largest bench
- Manual the subway (the one nearest the bull).
- Collect the secret tape.

SKATOPIA:
- Front flip over front sign
- Collect Combo letters
- Collect SKATE E

SCHOOL:
- Collect the book next to the planters.
- Collect the book next to the Australian kid.
- Collect the Secret tape.
- Collect the book near the Secret tape (on the quarter pipe to its left).
- Double Kickflip the kicker gap.
- Collect all of COMBO.
- Collect the book next to COMBO O.
- Collect the book at the end of the Manual The Big Slope gap, near the pools.

DOWNHILL JAM:
(Note) I list things in "first" through "fifth" here, meaning the order in which they appear from the start of the level to the end of the level.
- Manual the first puddle.
- Manual the second puddle.
- Fall into the water underneath the two pipes, respawning you at the beginning of the COMBO.
- Collect COMBO C
- Collect COMBO O
- Collect COMBO M
- Collect COMBO B
- Manual the third puddle.

(Note) I buttslap to the secret tape from the first platform to the left of COMBO O. It is much faster than going around the upper platforms.

- Collect the skateboard in the hole in the wall.
- Collect the skateboard at the top of the yellow ventilation pipe/ladder. If you did everything up to now in one combo, which you should have, keep the combo going to
- Collect COMBO B

Bigfoot Sign Transfer, the easy version

Perform a revert after spine transferring to prepare for the sign transfer, but after the revert hit your "Get off board" button to enter a perpetual combo state until you jump again. Easy sign transfer.

Classic Mode - Things to remember

Goal clear skip - Whenever you are done with a run in a level, be sure you retry the run first before you hit end run. Doing it this way skips the small snippets of the game telling you which goals you completed during your run.

Points exploit - When doing a combo... for whatever reason,  your points in the combo will count as completing the goal that requires said points, (High, Pro, Sick scores and High Combo) even if you do not land the combo (as long as you don't bail, but rather retry and end run before you land). This only applies to score related goals, and not trick specific goals.

NG+ Stat cheese - by starting story mode and maxing out your stats, the stats will be carried into classic mode. Editing your Classic stats or collecting a Stat Point will reset your stats. If this happens, your run is over. As certain buttslaps will be much harder to do in this case.

NG+ Trick recommendations - Hot Rod (unlocked by completing Classic on Sick) Double Fistin (unlocked by meeting the tagger in Berlin in story mode) Beaver Blast (Unlocked by completing Australia in story mode)
Indy 900, Kickflip Underflip, and any special grind.

Score should be obtained as you get goals as there's no real route for score. This "guide" just tells you the order in which you get every item to complete it. If you want to know where they are, watch the video or look for them (they all flow into each other for the most part).  These can be subject to change as faster ways are found.

Text Storage

If you've read the rules for any run, you'd know that "Text Storage" (TS) is banned. But what is that?

A long time ago - at least a year ago - Pyatters finished a run in Australia, because the text message that says "you beat the game" popped up after he completed the level. This caused a lot of confusion between the runners at the time, however it was not considered the Any% record, as nobody knew exactly how it worked.

Awhile later, after other runners activated the same glitch, thug2 runners slowfreq and Chrno got in a call and worked out why the glitch happened: after you beat the game regularly, a text message pops up that says you beat the game. However, you can quit the game before that message pops up. The flag for that text message needing to appear is still there, and will appear at the next opportunity it can. In Story Mode, this is after an end-level text message pops up. In Classic Mode, it can be triggered, for some reason, by viewing the goals list.

The community decided to ban this glitch for two reasons:

- It doesn't actually beat the game. Even though it says you did, it doesn't. We can verify this because, when the message says you beat the game, it also gives you a list of skaters that you unlocked. Because only the message popped up, and you didn't actually beat the game, the characters never actually get unlocked. That means, although it says you beat the game, it's lying to you.

- It goes against the spirit of what the runs are for. What you could do, if this glitch were allowed, is start a game in a longer category (see: Story Sick), save, quit, do a Story Easy run, activate the glitch, load your save, and then activate TS. So, even if the message did actually complete the game, it wouldn't be allowed anyway.
