This was done on an actual Model 2 Sega CD. I used a component cable plugged into a RetroTink, which is how the game footage looks so clear.
I wasn't streaming this run. The facecam was recorded separately with a camcorder. Unfortunately, I forgot that it has a 30-minute limit on one recording, and because I was lazy and kept it recording through multiple (failed) runs, the timer ran out on the final stage, which is why the facecam dies.
First time ever speed running, and it was definitely challenging and a lot of fun! Maybe if I ever figure out how to live stream properly, I can actually try to get the time down considerably, and grind at it more.
(Btw, I'm 95% sure it's 17m 15s, but it could be 14 or 16s. I put it into premiere and did the exact frame of starting, and ending and that's what it showed. Since, again, I wasn't live streaming, or using any of the speedrunning tools to easily see my time, if I messed something up, and it is 14s or 16s, instead of 15s, I deeply apologize.)
