As some or most people know, level 6-5 is technically beatable as Small Mario, with a P speed side clip into a pipe.
However since this is such a hard trick to do, it is excluded from 97%, and that's fine with me since imo it would be unreasonable to force players to get this side pipe clip in a run. Since the level can't be beaten in a "Developer Intended way" as small mario, I think 6-5 clip shouldn't be forced. It would kill the fun of the category as a whole.
I think Rule 2 in category rules needs to be re-written, since 6-5 can be beaten as small, in theory. My suggestion is something like "6-5 can be beaten as small mario, but due to not being able to beat the level in a Developer intended way as small mario, it is not required for this category"
Then I guess Rule 5 would have to be edited as well to include the term "Developer intended way"
Another thing we can do is add a 98% Small Mario category, to allow players to choose whether or not they want to do the small mario side pipe 6-5 clip in a run. One last thing - I think it would be a good idea to allow players to take a death if they accidentally power-up to Big Mario (Or if they maybe equip a P Wing or something). Forcing a death to allow the run to continue sounds fair to me, since you do take a decent time loss when you take a death in a run
Changes have been made to the Frog All Stars rules due to the discovery of an Game Genie code by Katti , which we were previously unaware of. The updated rules now reflect these changes, and the times for previous runs have been adjusted accordingly. Be sure to check out the new rules!
