I feel like I always lose a lot of time on the petition. Perhaps this is because I don't have a set strategy for it. Asking people twice seems like it wastes a lot of ime, but if I ask people only once I don't get enough signatures at the end of the day.

How do you do the petition mission the fastest way?

If you use 30 bystanders setting, you should have enough people around to only ask them once.

Yeah, I should test how much effect it has on loading times. Maybe less bystanders and asking people twice will save more time.

I think i have mine set at 20 bystanders because i feel that you can really get screwed over having less and having more seems to effect my framerate and my ability to perform certain glitches i.e the convenient store skip (i really need to get my hands on the 1413 version.

So i would say play around with the numbers and see what works for you. I try to keep track of how many petitions i have before i got to a certain area and If i don't have enough within a certain time, i just try to rush to the next area as quickly as possible so i can at least have some decent splits. I usually like to get the petitions done before the Gary skip. The run is usually pretty bad if i don't have all the signatures before hand.

At the end of the day, its still an rng nightmare for the most part and you will probably be have to grind it a'lot in order to get a really good time. Best of luck to all runners ;)

Yeah, I usually get the last signature in the mall right after killing Gary, and that's with asking most people twice. By the way, congrats on your 3rd place man!

I feel like the only times I get the signatures after Gary is when i have already wasted too much time before hand. It really is mostly about resetting now in order to get new pb's when it comes to the petitions. Btw thanks ;P

I have bystander population around 10-12. Only 2 times I couldn't get all signatures before the confession split. I like to have at least 5 by the end of library and all of them in the mall after Gary. I always ask twice.

It's RNG and so far I couldn't figure out if there's a way to manipulate it. So... Luck, a lot of luck :P

Nope, there is no way to manipulate it. Not even loading the same save produces the same result.
