The runs for this game are very long, and I want to get into running this game. I don't want to commit to over 8 consecutave hours of gameplay (and quite frankly, I don't have the time) What if there could be a timing rule where you are allowed to pause the timer after exiting a level, after the saving message goes away? As long as you don't move off of that spot of the map, you would still be getting the same end time, so it should be allowed. You get a 24 hr break. You don't have to use all of it, or any of it, and using more than 24 hrs adds onto the final time.
Segmented runs are disallowed. Actually, there's a thread further down this forum where I asked exactly this question back in 2017 (geez), and KalarMar gave a great answer already. In short, this is a RTA (real time attack) board, not a segmented or joint-type board.
I ended up just doing full runs, which I practiced for and then planned a day to do the run on in advance.
That rule is fine but I don't want to play this game for over 8 hours straight so I may just not run it. The day after I posted this comment, coincidentally, my Wiiu charger snapped, so I couldnt charge my wiiu during the run anyway. I may or may not get a new charger soon.
