I'll ask this:
Shouldn't there be a requirement for videos for full-game runs? I can definitely understand IL's not needing videos, but for full-game it's practically a necessity.
I agree, but at the same time not everyone can record. For me, I cannot record because I play on XBoX and I do not have the ability to record due to having no external storage, I also do not have a good enough computer to do it. Just some food for thought.
Alright, I guess maybe things take time. I'm still hoping for a response from one of the mods for ANYTHING I've posted, though. I'm worried that they either get too busy to do things on speedrun.com at the moment or they just left the internet for a while.
Mods will probably hate me for this, but we are active on this discord, not them, we should be the mods ???
Is your discord accurate on here? I can't seem to send a friend request.
Good thing you're finally a mod.
That also doesn't seem to work. I sent a link to the discord you wanted to make, so join that and then we can talk on there at least, then I can send a friend request.
If I recorded a speed run play through of a 6 race mode, would i need to be recording the screen directly, or could i use an external camera to film with the digital timer of my watch on within view of the camera?
What software do you guys use for screen recording on consoles? Or any recommendations? I'm kinda a noob on video capture so yeah. Probably why I submitted my Kansas times through my phone lol.
@Qualcommie Personally, I use my Elgato Game Capture HD to record all of my console speedruns. It is expensive, but I've had it since March of 2014. Even if the capture card goes bad, you can send it in and they will replace it for free. Definitely worth the money imo.
