This is my absurdly large list of complete room strategies I've put together. It contains the majority of rooms in the game while leaving out the more nondescript rooms, e.g. bare corridors or small, basic platform rooms. The videos are listed sequentially according to the path the speedrun takes for easy navigation along with a unique name (such as enemy names and tricks) to help them stand out. I have included two Any% folders for the standard 3 ET/120 missiles route and the much newer and harder 2 ET/100 missiles route. Despite the many room adjustments I came up with for the harder route, it basically follows the exact same path as the standard route except for skipping two large item rooms. Both any% folders are diminutive in comparison to the 100% one because I decided to only include the category specific room adjustments. As any% in Metroid 2 follows 100% very closely anyway the main 100% list is where the bulk of strats will be referenced from. You will have to seek out speedruns of any% to understand the route & item grabs. Lastly, the Metroid fights/rooms have their own folder and listed as "M1, M2, M3" etc. They show the best available strats to fight them and a few alternatives thrown in, particularly Gamma fights.

These videos are basically my attempt to fully document every single strategy me and the community has ever found. I felt that my previous strats guide looked ugly with its inconsistent palette thumbnails and left a lot to be desired with its isolated examples of strategies instead of full rooms. This new format will hopefully foster a more streamlined learning experience for the budding speedrunner, or at the very least it could be considered a kind room strategy library for future reference. In the event of any further strats being found, movies can be swapped out and replaced with an up to date room. Over in the Super Metroid community similar efforts have been done to document every single room or to do them as fast as possible. While I didn't necessarily go out my way to achieve the latter all the time, I made sure each movie had very clean movement.

The video quality is intentionally low for them to fit on my 5gb OneDrive comfortably but I think they're clear enough to see what's going on. Failing this I have included my original .bk2 movies folder containing all of the files so you can see them clearly on your desktop along with the option to view controller inputs if need be. When playing movies through Bizhawk I recommend keeping the files in their folder and using the browse  icon to search for them because the in-built list that pops up doesn't follow the same file name sequence logic so it has them a bit muddled. Emulator: Bizhawk 2.2.1.1
