so, I've recently pulled a time at Austria that would get me third on the leaderboards here (1:03.424). thing is, I didn't record the lap when I actually did it, I only have a recording from after the session, and with race broadcast as camera. is this still allowed according to the rules? The rules only state that corner cutting exploits aren't allowed and that the game must see the time as valid, or your run isn't allowed (these rules are the only ones I'm concerned about). my run is following both these rules, but doesn't have onboard with all telemetry and stuff (not recorded whilst actually doing the lap), whilst the other runs do. please get back to me as soon as possible, so I will know if I can upload it or not
Hey,
usually we do not allow such runs, because it is insanely easy to manipulate the car vehicles in F1 2020 and the game still recognizes your time and uploads them to the offical leaderboard. I cannot guarantee you that your time will be accepted due to the lack of telemetry - i actually think it won´t be - , but please submit your run anyways. We will look if everything seems legitimate.
Please make sure, you record the next time. Thank you very much.
ok, I'll upload it shortly then. I honestly didn't expect to get a time that fast, hence why I didn't record it normally. anyway, you should receive my submission within 2 hours because my internet is Pepega
The F1 2020 Leaderboard switches it main timing method from RTA to IGT. The change to IGT allows us to have a fair competition between different consoles and PC, due to loading times etc. The rules have been updated to reflect this change and I hope you´ll have a fun time running F1 2020.
