Foundouts about Career Mode 1 - Making the Character, First Fight and Knockdowns RNG

So, since the sub 15 run is out, there's some points I want to put, in case anyone want to run and get a similar time.

Making the Character:

What only matter are the Power and Speed gauges. You will only need those ones to proceed during the run. Stamina will grow up by its own when picking up Training Items. Defense is really useless and you won't need to raise it, but you'll need to be careful to take too many hits or else you'll get down easily.

First Fight and Knockdowns RNG:

Every starts needs to be against Mick Llonigan (use the Reset Cartdrige option for that), and here's where it'll be decided if you'll get a good run or not.

Aparently, the most important RNG in the game is the Knockdowns. Knockdowns looks random but during the Career Mode, once you defeat the first opponent with a certain number of knockdowns in a single round, all of them will be the same. So, if you defeat Llonigan on the first round with 2 knockdowns, all of the subsequent opponents will follow the same pattern.

And that's why Llonigan's fight is the most important one for the run. Here you'll need the fastest pattern, which is defeating with only a knockdown. 2 knockdowns or TKO will get a lot of time for you, so if Llonigan get up on the first knockdown, you reset.

So keep a reminder that you'll reset some times before you get the fastest pattern for the Career Mode.

Foundouts about Career Mode 2 - Training Items

Training Items:

Between the fights, when you win, you'll be able to pick three Training Items. What you'll prioritize here are the Power/Speed items. Each Training you'll get a power-only item, a speed item and a balanced item (an item which has power/stamina/speed at once). It'll help you to defeat opponents easily and when you reach the top 10, you'll have practically the Power and Speed gauges at max.

Power Gloves and Speed Boots start to appear later in the game, but these are the best item. 

The priority item for each training is:

Power Items: 

Power Gloves 

Loose Weights
Multi Gym (if it appears together with a balanced item) 
Punch Bag
Step-o-Matic

Speed Items: 

Speed Boots
Track Work
Karate
Exercycle
Speed Bag
Jump Rope
Jog Machine
Running Shoes

Balanced Items (every Training will have one of them at least)

Vitamins
Health Club
Protein Diet
Multi Gym (if it doesn't appear together with a balanced item)

Foundouts about Career Mode 3 - Stances and Best Way to Fight

Stances and Best way to fight:

Stances are very important in the game- it determines which will be your strong hand and your fast hand. The Right Handed Stance makes your right punches faster, but your left punches faster, and vice-versa with the Left Handed Stance. 

I didn't use a lot of the Left Stance, but the times I used I didn't enjoy, so I'll talk about the Right Stance.

During the first seven fights (until you reach the 10th position), due to most opponents having a low speed gauge, the best strat is tiring them out with right body hooks (they are really vulnerable to those hits) and when they start to defend too much, alternate/hit with right uppercuts then go back to right body hooks until the opponent fall down.

This strat is really useful on the beginning. However, due to some RNG in the chart, you may face some enemies with a lot of speed, so if it goes wrong, reset and go all over again.

When you reach the top 10, you may change your strat depending of the opponent you'll face, assuming that with the right training items, you'll be near the max gauge on Power and Speed. You may continue the right body hook/right uppercut if you have a big speed gap against the next opponent. 

However, if it ties or is just a bit behind your Speed Gauge, you'll use the Left Jab strat (if you are using the Right Handed stance). Since the opposite side of your stance is faster, you can use a lot of the body/head jabs to tire the opponent out and knock it down easily, since on the max speed gauge, you can stunlock the opponent with them. 

What you'll need to do is switch between the left jabs (up and down) until you corner the opponent and then, keep punching up and down until the stamina gauge goes out and the enemy gets knocked down. This is really useful on the last fights and against Holyfield, which has max stats on everything, but still takes the jab stunlock if you corner him.

THE BEAST

For easier fights, there is a cheat code in the game, when creating a player in your career, type THE BEAST as your character's name, and you will play for the most powerful fighter like the evander Holyfield!
