Unfortunately I don't have an android device so I can't verify what method of ad blocking works, and the app I use is only available for iOS, so if someone has a good method for ad blocking on Android it would be greatly appreciated if you could either post it in the forums or add it as a guide.

First, go to the app store and download "Lockdown Privacy." When you open it, ignore the free trial/premium membership prompts and go through the tutorial. You don't need to use the secure tunnel feature, nor do you need to make an account for the app. We're focusing on the firewall feature. Click on the Block List option under firewall, then scroll down to "general marketing" and both of the "marketing trackers" and block all three of them. Once you do that you're free to block/unblock whatever you want to. When you're done, hit save. The app will likely ask you to allow access to your VPN, which you should allow. Make sure "Lockdown Configuration" is checked in VPN settings, then go back to the app. Finally, make sure the firewall option is turned on in the app. Happy ad blocking!
