This ROM comes configured with Dual 2P screen by default, and doesnt seem to be changable by easy DIP Switch.

However, it is possible to disable this and have only 1P screen appear.

In MAME, hit Tab, go to Video Options. Then select Screen #1 and change to Screen 0 Standard (4:3) setting.

This will get rid of the second screen. You can add it back by changing to Dual-Cabinet display again if you want to play 2P or something.

I also suggest going to service mode by pressing F2 and disabling the menu music that way the 2nd cabinet's audio doesn't mix with the 1P cabinet's audio. You can also adjust the difficulty in there.
