I am not 100% certain but, I think if you wall jump up the area to get to the next floor it gives you a slight time save compared to taking the rising platform. I’m to lazy to figure it out but might do some testing in the future to get to the bottom of this.
The problem with doing this is that you can very easily clip through the elevator platform, and can soft lock the game assuming the next checkpoint isn't loaded properly (lost a 23:XX pace not 30 minutes ago to this) It would probably save 0.5-4 seconds per stage going upwards (depends on mash speed) but it probably won't be needed for some time
Depending on the floor, this might save time, as there is a time save in floor 2 that requires you to get the extra jump boost from the rising platform.
on the first-second elevator, you can use the hop to climb onto the floating platform and save milliseconds, but everywhere else wall jump is faster
