well... im not on discord, but if someone intentionally hurts / damages a speedrun community (for example by attacking discord), they should be banned from speedrun.com or atleast from our leaderboard.

well the only runner involved i know of was lanky, the rest were just his friends as far as im aware

Cupcake is the current holder of 4 records, his current name is DontAtMe_rkat on speedrun.com im not trying to get him banned from running but what he did is unacceptable to the community. He currently holds, The Center Full Run Easy WR, Genesis Part 2 Apex Easy WR, Genesis Part 1 QAT Easy and Valguero Apex Easy WR.

@EldestGuardian even if Cupcake holds all WR, that don't justifies the action.

We already have the problem that ARK is a "speedrun unfriendly game" due to the fact that it takes hours to get things done even if your fast and efficient, that already scares away alot of people who think about running this game.

If someone decides to run this game they probably check discord for further information of asking questions.

One more thing as a runner you also represent the community of the game youre running

Since people are calling for us to be banned from speedrun.com.. I feel like we should at least get a chance to explain our side. Please take the time to read through this before you decide to ban us from speedrun.com

A few weeks ago Meerkat and I, along with 2 other people, (I didn't know the 2 other people at all), were spamming a meme that said "guess what chicken butt". (by spamming I mean each sending it twice, resulting in a total of 8 images). Liam and Frosty dealt with it and we stopped, we didn't do anything afterwards. Later when Ross got on, he saw that we spammed and decided to ban us for "immaturity".. despite Frosty and Liam already taking action against us for that. There was nothing in the rules that said you're not allowed to be immature and being immature would result in an immediate ban with 0 warnings! Anyways.. he banned all 4 of us, and 2 of my friends that were not even apart of the incident. They were simply banned for being associated with me.. Everyone hated us so none of the Admins bothered unbanning us. Cupcakes ban was separate and probably deserved tbh, but he did not take any further action.. he accepted his ban. A couple of weeks later, Liam gave up on the community unbanned everyone ever banned, and gave us full perms and permission to do whatever we wanted to with his server. When this happened I was reading through the staff chat and Ross was calling for us to be banned just simply because he didn't like us (before the spam thing) and that they should also just ban anyone who's affiliated with us in any way (exactly what you want to hear from an admin, not corrupt at all). Since we had permission from the owner, we griefed the server so we could target 1 person who really hated us (yes it was immature but funny 😂) Basically the admins were shit and banned us because they didn't like us.

I still enjoy 99% of this community. I probably won't join the new server nor am I probably welcome there, but please get new admins in that server.

look i don't really care, but just to clear things up you our self said you were friends with cupcake, also I banned based of multiple offences spamming being a bit low key racist (although I wouldn't call it racist but still not needed). Also although it technically wasn't in the rules although is in the new one is be respectful of other people in the discord which you guys were not doing in the other one repeatedly. Either way your welcome to join the new discord but just be respectful of others its not a shitposting discord
