Hey there Exterminators!

Some runs has been identified to have covered certain elements of the game but still followed the main game rules, I made some changes in the main rules due to some runs covering up certain elements of the game that could lead to some questionable verification's, I added new rules regarding recording that can make it easier for you to not have a run that may be removed in a later date.

There also has been discussions regarding Bonewald with different times, Easy vs. Normal, Fear not, when this will be implemented every run will be re-verified to be normal runs/easy runs as long as you did not cover the UI, following the Recordings Section in the Main Rules.

We are open to suggestions on the rules and additional categories, please contact any of the speedrun moderators through Discord/message through the wbesite or create a forum post regarding that.

Recordings:

Your recording should always show the game in it's full overlay/screen. (as in, not block any important details) and should not be cut in any way, this includes but not limited to:

1. Hiding the fact you are playing on Easy Mode
2. Covering the Speedrun UI
3. Covering Times during Bonewald/Trials Section Exceptions: The Livesplit Timer/Timer can be visible but should not block visible important details.

Your recording will be rejected if you cut/edit anything out of the start of the run till the end of the run, as that falls under "Cheating".

Your recording should have a timer otherwise it will be rejected.

You are allowed to modify the speedrun UI with an image overlay, but should not block any values/important data, "Any modification to the game files is forbidden." is still applied to this, you can only overlay it for example on OBS and/or other recording software to distinguish yourself.

I have updated the old rules regarding 100% and old rules that don't mention pre-release and release.

Added 100% Rules: Release Versions: 100% fully finish the game, which includes doing every achievement in the game, this has to be done with an account without the achievements to verify that the achievement was given to the player.

Changed Bonewald Rules: Complete the course without using major or minor glitches.

Your official time will be tied to your in-game time, because of this it is recommended to look at the leaderboard at the end of the trial in the gauntlet during the recording of your run to verify your time.

Refusal to look at the leaderboard will take more time to verify and can be subject to refusal.

We have updated the categories that changes "Release" to "Release 1.0.0" as a new patch that significantly changes the runs.

Ground Zero is the current live update of the game/default.

Release 1.0.0 speedrun starts exactly the same as Pre-Release as same per usual.

Ground Zero now uses the Speedrun Timer that is implemented by Alien Removal Division, if a bug occurs (time stopping),then we the moderators will retime it to properly fix the runs time manually, in the case you don't use the speedrun timer implemented by the game we can retime it to properly match the same times but will take time to verify.

Updated Categories to provide support to both pre-release & release, it is done this way for now to categorize later and previous versions of the game, Pre-Release refers to (before 1.0.0) and Release refers to (1.0.0 and beyond).
