I used to play this game a lot, and casually speedrun it with friends back in the day (more focused on max-difficulty, but with the goal of also getting good times).

I've been interested in trying to play it again, and it seems like the most fun way to run it for me will be the Solo challenge mod, and there seem even be people on the dedicated servers running it like that.

Obviously this is kind of a dead game here - but still wanted to see your thoughts on it as a category.

a bit late with the reply but could you explain what benefit/drawback that would have over the current solo categories?

In general modifications would rarely have a place on game leaderboards as they're much more common on category extension boards and given the lack of activity it wouldn't make a lot of sense to add something like that currently.
