[center]A.K.A: who cares[/center] [center][big][big]General stuff[/big][/big][/center] Try to have your speedrun save on slot 1. Should your casual save already be on it, you can move your save by going to Documents/Fruitbat Factory/200% Mixed Juice! and changing slot00.sav to slot01.sav (or 02).

The battle system is fairly simple and can be found here. Full manual here. An added general rule of thumb is that when you're about to die, use the attack that comes out first. Usually Scissors, though if your opponent doesn't have any Scissors attacks, you can use Paper (or Rock). This overrides all spamming in the notes.

[center][big]Attacks[/big][/center] QP:

  • Unarmed (1) (Paper)
  • Fire (2) (Scissors)
  • Catapult (4) (Scissors)

Scientist:

  • Avion Child (2) (Paper)
  • Avion Fire (3) (Scissors)
  • Mode Change (1) (Useless)

Marc:

  • Turret Fire (1) (Paper)
  • Turret Spread (3) (Paper)
  • Rocket Cannon (4) (Scissors), also gives SP bonus on a successful hit.

Marc (Red Barrel):

  • Turret Fire (1) (Paper)
  • Rocket Cannon (4) (Scissors), SP bonus
  • Big Rocket Cannon (8) (Scissors), lowers defense

Marc (Pig) is the same as RB, but with Turret Spread (3) instead of Turret Fire.

Marc&Islay&Sherry:

  • Rapid Turret Fire (2) (Paper)
  • Rocket Cannon (4) (Scissors), SP bonus
  • Formation Flight (5) (Useless in the run)
  • Full Burst Gauge (3) (Scissors), expends all SP you have. The more you have, the more powerful it is, supposedly. This is bullshit though and it's only ever used as a cheaper Rocket Cannon if you get bad rolls.

Sora:

  • Sword (1) (Rock)
  • Spread (2) (Paper)

Sora (10k Years After):

  • Dash (Useless)
  • Zapper (4) (Rock)
  • Launcher (3) (Paper)
  • Unlimited Charge (7) (Scissors)

Scholar:

  • Ambitious Research (6) (Debuff), lowers all stats
  • It's a Bird (3) (Useless)
  • It's a Plane (3) (Useless)

[center][big][big]Route[/big][/big][/center] Intro gull gets destroyed with Catapult, no matter what you roll you'll be able to use it. Try not to miss.

[center][big]School[/big][/center] Get Scientist right off the bat from Mixdus. If he's your first card, you shouldn't buy another one as anyone else is useless and it saves having to manually put Marc on your team later. You can buy a third card just to be safe on Shifu though, but you need to get lucky on multiple accounts to salvage a run like that.

Shifu&Robot (Rock) Lv.5

  • If you didn't get shot by Robo Balls, use Unarmed and then Catapult or Fire depending on your SP. If you did get shot, just use Catapult/Fire depending on your SP.
  • Switch to Scientist and finish him off with Avion Childs, just don't die in the process

[center][big]Red Barrel[/big][/center] There's a cute double gull battle here, Fire or Catapult. If you had 3 cards in your team before getting here, make sure to change your excess card (not QP or Scientist) to Marc now.

•Back Street

Jonathan x3 (Scissor) Lv.2-4

  • Fire 1-shot

•Guild

Peat (Rock) Lv.4

  • Turret Spread 1-shot

Iru (Paper) Lv.5

•Main Street

Saki (Rock) Lv.6

•Outskirts:

Piyo x2 (Rock) Lv.5

  • Anything at all 1-shot, try Turret Fire into Rocket Cannon or double Rocket Cannon

To unlock the next area you actually need to visit Shop. This can be done at any time, but it makes more sense to mention it now.

•Street Corner

Mimyuu (Paper) Lv.6

  • Any Scissors attack 1-shot, use Marc for fast menuing. QP doesn't always kill so avoid her.

Tomato (Paper) Lv.6

  • Any Scissors attack 1-shot

Yuki (Paper) Lv.7

  • Rocket Cannon 1-shot

Capt. Tequila (Rock) Lv.7

  • Paper attack 2-shot, he has a Scissors attack so check if you can kill him with a Scissors attack yourself.

[center][big]Sora[/big][/center] Replace QP with Sora right away.

•Dock

Merchant (Rock) Lv.8

  • Turret Spread 1-shot

Arthur (Paper) Lv.8

  • Paper 2-shot, usually doesn't use Scissors attacks (because Appreciation Beam costs 10)

Go visit Base now or whenever you did whatever.

•Roof

Star Breaker (Rock) Lv.12

  • Paper 2-shot, try not to get decimated by Scissors attacks

Grain (Rock) Lv.10

  • Paper 3-shot [small][small](or 4 if you're really unlucky with damage ranges)[/small][/small]

[center][big]Red Barrel again I guess[/big][/center]

•Guild

Kai (Paper) Lv.11

  • Rocket Cannon 1-shot

Kai&Marie Poppo (Paper) Lv.10

  • Rocket Cannon 1-shot

Make sure to repeat Guild for a level up so you don't get fucked over by damage ranges in GM.

•Back Street

Tsih (Rock) Lv.12

  • Turret Spread 1-shot, hope for a double KO

Kae (Scissor) Lv.12

  • Sword 1-shot

•Main Street

Sherry (Scissor) Lv.11

  • Rocket Cannon 1-shot, try not to miss

Islay (Scissor) Lv.11

  • Rocket Cannon 1-shot, try not to miss

Nath (Rock) Lv.11

  • Turret Spread 1-shot, has no Scissors attacks

•Outskirts

Dwarf (Rock) Lv.10

  • Spread 1-shot

NoName (Scissor) Lv.12

  • Sword 1-shot, you shouldn't die but it happens sometimes

•Cloudy Sky

Flying Castle (Rock) Lv.22

  • Paper 3-shot, Castle always attacks last so you don't need to worry about it

Guild Master (Scissor) Lv.17

  • Sora solo with Sword into Spread, just try to get Release Bits or Winder from him. Winder can fumble you though so seriously avoid that happening. Carpet Bombing can 1-shot you but he needs atleast 5 on the first dice for that, and he doesn't always use it regardless.

Star Breaker (Full Gear) (Rock) Lv.18

  • Go from Scientist to Marc, spam Paper

[center][big]The World[/big][/center] There's a cute Peat + Mira battle here, just Rocket Cannon 1-shot both of 'em.

•Road

Lone Driver (Scissor) Lv.22

  • 2-shot, has a Scissor attack but it halves HP so it won't kill, meaning Sora will be just fine (unless he does Rock but you have 2 others anyway)

•Dock

Tomato&Mimyuu (Paper) Lv.16

  • Rocket Cannon 1-shot

Nanako (Paper) Lv.18

  • Rocket Cannon 1-shot

•Back Street

Krila (Paper) Lv.18

  • Rocket Cannon 1-shot [small][small](half the time)[/small][/small]

Kae (Berserk) (Scissor) Lv.18

  • 2-shot, just don't miss everything. She only has rock attacks so you can use Sword as a great confirmed hit.

•Bushes

Tequila&Mescal (Pig) (Rock) Lv.23

  • Paper spam, Sora is great in this fight so hope she doesn't die right off the bat

Actually have to visit Base lol

•Roof

Magical Tomomo (Rock) Lv.25

  • Paper spam

[center][big]Stupid grinding session into run end[/big][/center] This is where a lot of decision making happens and since it's all RNG there's no real right or wrong. You should go shopping right away and hope for a Red Barrel, though. It makes farming a lot quicker since you're not dying half the time.

Here's a handy shopping list:

  • Red Barrel, fuse with Marc to create Marc (Red Barrel)
  • Pig, fuse with Marc (Red Barrel) to create Marc (Pig)
  • Islay AND Sherry, you need both. Fuse them together into Islay&Sherry and fuse that with Marc to create Marc&Islay&Sherry
  • Man (Yukito), fuse with Sora to create Sora (10k Years After)
  • Scholar

You don't actually need any of those items, though. But they make the run a ton safer and also quicker. Your priority items are Red Barrel and Man (Yukito). Sora10k allows for another hit to Sugu and RB Marc just makes everything faster. If you get Pig you can sacrifice defense for attack, which actually is worth it. Islay and Sherry barely ever happens and MIS is kinda inbetween RB and Pig. Do it if you get them but don't get Pig, I guess. Scholar is optional and in my eyes not even worth it. His debuff always hits, but it doesn't make misses non-existent. You're also fucked on the Sumika fights if they don't go good, since with 2 characters it almost always results in a double KO, meaning you need to keep Scholar there just to have it count as a win. He's really sketchy, but not the worst thing. I still feel like a no items team is better than a Scholar + Scientist + any Marc one.

Go farm in Town (Red Barrel) with Marc. Spam Rocket Cannon until you reach atleast Lv.24 with Marc. You can beat the game with a 23-24-24 team, but more level ups never hurt. You get one basically every time you complete a fight, anyway. Takes too long if you go for 27, though. But it's obviously much safer.

•Between Worlds

Suguri (46 Billion Years) (Scissor) Lv.25

  • Don't ever get Earthlight, it's essentially an instant reset unless you're late into second phase and desperate
  • Sora -> Scientist -> Marc, start off with Sword and if you don't die, go for another one. You only don't die if you get Seawind from Sugu, but all of her attacks cost basically the same amount so it's random. It's worth considering to just reset until you get a Seawind start
  • A Snowthaw is fine but try not to get 2 in a row to your last guy, unless you can kill before it connects
  • Prepare to miss a lot. If you don't it's an easy battle, but we all know what that means
  • If using Scholar, go Scholar -> Scientist -> Marc. Scientist should handle the entire first phase on his own, otherwise you're getting basically nowhere

Sumika (Rock) Lv.25

  • You might want to use Scientist right off the bat to preserve Marc for Sumika46bil, if so, 2-shot
  • Turret Spread 1-shot [small][small](half the time)[/small][/small]
  • MIS can actually solo all three fights so they're worth considering a start with, Rapid Turret Fire 1-shot if you have them
  • All Sumikas have a fumble move, but they don't usually connect

Sumika (Feather) (Scissor) Lv.25

  • 2-shot

Sumika (46 Billion Years) (Paper) Lv.28

  • 2-shot unless your damage ranges go to shit
  • If you're using Scholar, never use Scholar in a fight, since you'll get a double KO here and if he's not alive, you're not winning

yeah grats nerd
