In terms of gameplay there's absolutely 0 differences. Greatest Hits vs Black Label means only that the disc has been "printed" after the initial release after it sold several copies and became a PSX major ip. It's the same as Platinum in PAL regions.

As of today, i think we're requested to do a savefile show at the end of the run for verification purposes. If resets are done in 1-1 autosp'litter works fine, but obv the in-game time won't reflect the final time, but will include the resets. What's the verification policy regarding this discrepancy? We need to show the 1-1 resets?

Kind regards

Not a spyro answer, but this is how we do that in another community. We use an external software called Yua, which allows you to to frame advance by pressing the left/right arrow keys, and displays the current frame number on the lower left corner. You can find it googling "yua speeddemosarchive" It becomes ez to take 2 reference frames, and just do X - Y for timing loads

@zacharylawrence smaller input delay. That's a huge thing to me. Retroarch feels way better than mednafen itself in commands recognition tbh. Basically i'm of the opinion that i'll either get a console at some point or just stop submitting if i never get one. This doesn't mean i have stopped running the games, they're still fun to me. Just on my own without external competition sadly

Edit was because i only tagged zachary but it was a completely different user :P

As of today, the most accurate emulators i tried are Duckstation you mentioned (manage to emulate perfectly even games that are usually not handled by other emulators) and RetroArch with the mednafen based dll (this particularly interesting because you can set Disc Speed loading, x2 corresponding to Slow Disc in ps2 and x4 being Fast Disc reading of ps2).

Still even if people mentioned it a lot on the forum, emulators guidelines aren't being updated in years, so i almost have no hope for seeing emulators ppl helped at all. Wish you the best of luck on getting an answer from the community, i honestly have lost any hope of submitting any run on the board (totally not using epsxe after trying good emus).

That's exactly what i was thinking, but wanted to be sure if i'll run the game again and get a nice time to submit

I didn't need to ask before cause i always used ePSXe 2.0.0, which is explicitly allowed. Though lately, i was switching to RetroArch since i can have multiple consoles on just one emulator; this one uses cores from other emulators, and one of them is actually a Mednafen one. Since mednafen is allowed, i was wondering if also using a mednafen core on retroarch is; so i can decide wether to keep epsxe in case i start running spyro again or not. Hope i chose the right place to ask, and sorry in advance if it was already answered.
