@SamHarney I am using a nintendo switch controller on my PC. I know, confusing haha
i'm moving the controller to the side on next upload, that looks terrible...
it's not possible to do what you're suggesting on console unless you have a capture card, unfortunately
this is an extremely saddening statement. i hope the probability of this event (i. e. the posting of more speedruns by the speedrun.com user "CoolGuy2024345") can be incremented. if this cannot be achieved, i will be caught in a epistemological dilemma wherein all my life choices and situations will be duely brought into question; my life will therefore be in jeopardy. speedruns of red ball bring joy and meaning to everyone's life, and so losing one runner could be deleterious to the community, and that would include myself. in conclusion, i would rather you reconsider your decision of reducing the likelyhood of you performing another speedy completion of this game, and be part of this wonderful community once more.
tldr; pls post speed run :(((((
so long as they're all perfectly visible, yes you are indeed able to do that :)
The rules say, specifically that "The invincibility glitch is allowed however you must perform it during the run and cannot have it active before the timer starts." The glitch is lost between levels and you can see i reset the levels where i use it in in order to activate it. I'm confused, then, why the runs were rejected. If that could be clarified it would be awesome. Thanks in advance :)
you can always just point a phone camera at your TV screen. then to retime you can upload it to youtube and use this website https://mk8dx-speedrun-timer.azurewebsites.net to retime your run as accurately as you feel you need. it's quite easy to go frame by frame with it and you can just look at the video to know when to mark the beginning and the end. cheers and good luck!
Low% Bad Ending has milliseconds because it's short and fairly easy to optimise, so times are naturally going to be close. idk what's going on with the AHL NG+ thing, i'll fix it
The points thing is random. I believe it was added by the old mods to spice things up in the leaderboards and to check whether it was related to the final time you get. I've been feeling like removing it specially because not many people even fill that in, so I may do that eventually if it's not a big deal.
Timing starts when L1 fades in and ends when you touch the trophy in L10. Sorry for not changing the rules, it's been like that for 2 years and we used the timing convention that was most convenient.
that was from when i found you could die to complete a level i think, not sure (i've forgot a lot about the game, me sorry)
it's on miscellaneous. that's why you can't see it. the end.
plus it's on recent runs
there are two websites that host time trial leaderboards:
https://www.mkleaderboards.com
both of them should be able to verify your times with no issues :)
