Once you hit lv 30 in this game thats the cap on everything.

If you want a category made then you need to do a run of the category so we have a video to go off of before we decide if we want to add it to the leaderboard.

Personally a challenge style run like that doesn't need to be on the leaderboard as in general taking damage makes you lose time as you have a stun/stagger animation causing a couple of seconds of timeloss anyway so trying to go damageless is normal in a speedrun.

As there has been no one to run glitchless there has not been a need for the category.

There is also only really 1 required glitch in the run rest are if you wanna go much faster.

If you want to run glitchless then feel free but until we have a few runs it likely won't be added by the moderators.

Game modifications are banned for the speedrun

The pre-order bonus are only banned for new game runs and don't matter on NG+.

You would need to run it yourself or grab a few people to show interest in it as right now there are only really 2-3 major glitches you need to be doing in most runs. 2 happen early on, 1 kinda in the middle and 1 on the second to last boss.

This has come up a few times but in order for it to be added we need some extra interest and a few completed runs.

In my opinion there aren't really enough required glitches, and some of our tricks aren't really glitches they are more abuse system engines with console menus, so it's hard to specify in this game outside of the OOBs. DDD is an example of a a oddity that causes unintended outcomes, all we do here is we stop the game from downloading the audio files by switching languages then disconnecting the internet on it but this causes the game to act in strange ways which could either be considered a glitch due to the unintended outcomes or just an trick/sequence breaking tool which is less of a glitch meaning that it could be allowed since we aren't doing anything untoward with the game just switching the language which is a base feature of the console.

A lot of tricks in this game do come down to personal preference when running anyway which is why we haven't ever really thought about adding this type of category even though we have discussed it.

If you want to run we aren't going to say anything against it but personally seeing a finished run makes it easier for the community to make a decision and it also helps with knowing what people may or may not consider a glitch/major skip in this game.

RTA means Real Time Attack, basically it means a run from the start to the end without pausing the timer

No you would need to play this game off of the original disc to be allowed a run on the leaderboard, nothing is stopping you from learning/running on anything you happen to have.

Complete 100% of the district map screen (all collectibles, side quests/phone app quests, all main missions, etc).

Then minus the time stated in the rules from the final time for your actual time as we time this game without the unskippable cutscenes due to patches adding more in later patches.

And thats the problem with doing ILs in this game, the unskippable cutscenes that they added. We will look at this and if we decide to add it then we will have to do a time without unskippables and work out a consistent starting point for starting the timing. This is an issue since you get different enemy patterns and miles spawning locations in missions depending on if you do the mission as part of a full run or if you load in and/or select the mission. The timing thing is also something that would need to be decided more appropriately since my gold in my NG+ PB is better than that run of the final mission by over a 2 mins and I am on the patch that can't skip the additional cutscene with Phin at the reactor and Dutch's split time is even faster since he could skip it.

It's just a game state that skips all the dialogue.

The below is in the rules: "DDD (Digital Dialogue Disruption) is a Digital Only glitch where the game can't access the dialogue and proceeds to skip through the lines quickly, some lines are still present however."

Yeah that's a mechanic called a Vemon Dash.

The game tells you about it at some point.

There is no real difference in any category apart from ultimate so that is why we keep track of ultimate separately while the rest is bunched together.

I mean you're free to submit ultimate to any difficulty but the mod will just change it to the correct category.

As long as the video is watchable and in 1 piece, not cut into parts, it should be fine

NG means New Game so no previous file.

NG+ means New Game Plus creating a file that carries over everything.

There is not enough interest in glitchless.

The main glitch is Fisk's Tower, the first mission, and the only difference would be you watch the few cutscenes and run up the elevator shaft.

Optional glitches we have are School Clip and Martin Li 3 Skip. Oh and possibly Recycle Clip. None of them are required and are down to personal preference.

Oh and DDD isn't really a glitch we just stop the game from downloading data to achieve this.
