Take my word for it, you will never beat this; it's too good to be beat.

I meant that it lacks the Game Boy reset screen, which takes an additional ~3 seconds compared to immediately getting to the Capcom screen. Here is an example from a different run for reference:

Here is a video I have made that describes the process in setting this up, although you will need to find this BIOS file itself online (just google GBC BIOS to find):

In the end it probably comes down to the fact that defining a Glitchless category for these games that capture the true spirit of a Glitchless run would be pretty difficult, seeing as a lot of the exploits in these games derive from Damage Boosting from Bombs and enemies, which many would argue isn't a glitch, even though you can skip large segments of the game using these techniques precisely.

I've thought about it myself and I feel like the only way you could make the category different enough from the normal ones is to ban the really precise boosts (subpixel-based ones) but maybe allow some minor ones, but even then it wouldn't really change much for Seasons, and Ages would probably get really sluggish.

That guide is actually an All Essences guide, it's just that All Essences used to be Any% before July 2019, and the author hasn't updated the name of the guide to reflect that.

You can definitely use that guide to learn All Essences still :)
