I've only recently started running the game and I'm looking forward to actually getting some runs up. But my personal vote would be getting a channel in the main Transformers discord to get that existing base where some people might join out of idle curiosity.

Being a mod in another series where there are three discords for the individual games in the series makes it harder to convince people to play the less popular ones as they don't discuss them all in the one spot and they don't want to join multiple servers.

The main benefit I see to its own server is a better ability to divide up discussion for strats and more control over things like pins. Both sides have benefits and drawbacks. I think getting a channel in there would be the best route and if the game grows even larger to where it becomes unruly in one channel a discord could be made.

I can't really help on explaining them since they just feel natural to me. But my advice would be to watch replays of levels that do similar things with the inputs turned on in the options. This helps to show you what the inputs are. D-00-03 as an example you need to not hold the jump button to ensure you get the 3 jumps with momentum. Remember that holding the jump or a directional button has effects on your velocity and that velocity management is more what does it then wall jump mechanics.

If you play in the level select screen, when you just spam the button upon completion of a level it moves to the next level automatically. Good luck with your runs. I can't really help with the auto-splitter, it works fine for me each time. Just remember you need to do the last split yourself as it doesn't finish for you. :)

Though, by capturing lords you also take one person away from them for a time which means your lords will be less likely to break their sieges. I am still slowly working on my optimal method of doing it, hopefully I can get something consistent at the end of it. But basically early tournaments for gold, quick merc train and nord units for huscarls and then Lord hunting as a merc company while conquering/reconquering castles... Remember helping out lords in battle will give them good disposition towards you which may help in your own conquests... Also save & quit so if you lose a battle you can just try again. Lol.

Easiest method I've imagined would be to gang up on one faction, most likely Swadia and just be a mercenary for whomever is fighting that faction at the time... That way you can go around taking out lords/castles while the marshall of the faction is doing so as well. If multiple factions gang up on Swadia it will obviously go quicker. But the main problem is if too many factions get into war with Swadia peace will kick in since they try to avoid fighting 3 or more factions at once.

So you're really better off just trying to have one or two factions at a time beating on them while you're essentially doing it for free, potentially even starting your own kingdom and just letting another faction take it while you continue to beat up on the one.

I want to say yes, because you've sworn fealty to them even if they aren't technically the king/queen of a faction yet. But then I also think, why would you bother going for them in vassal%? Since the renown you need to take up their cause is higher then the renown needed to swear fealty to a faction leader. 200 compared to 150 which can also be effected by your relation with them.

We don't. Feel free to set one up if you want though.

Yeah, this game loves doing that. The RNG for most of the categories is just crazy.

That's a link to the N++ discord. There is a speedrunning section in there for people interested in running the game to discuss their times, etc... :)

Hope to see you running soon. :D

You need to play in offline mode.

I have put some thought into it, but nothing into practice yet... I am guessing a quick way to go about it is to sign up as a merc and take castles that way you don't need to bother with their defense and just jump between factions, capturing lords when you can... The faction I'd gang up on would likely be the Nords due to the ease of getting them in the field and their tightish formation of castles/towns.

I am happy with the number of categories we currently have and if I am being honest I would actually say we have too many... But I want to try and foster more running of this great game, so am always willing to discuss new category ideas. I think what makes any% and claimant% so daunting is the tedium involved in taking a lot of castles... Claimant% would potentially take less time if you can quickly capture two or three castles and get lords under your sway quickly... But it'd still be tedious. I plan to do runs of them all someday and hope others don't get frustrated by it... But that's the nature of the beast sometimes.

Betting on yourself in each round of the tournament and winning it nets around 4180 denars... Looting a village earns about 4-5k, but you also have to deal with the time looting it and then going and selling all the goods efficiently. Tax missions collect you between 2-8k depending on the town in question and RNG... So tournaments/feasts and tax collection would be the quickest way while buying things like iron and selling them when a tournament is in a favourable town. Looting villages would also put you offside with a faction and require you to fight on occasion while tournament hopping would be easy enough to do alone/with a token force to scare looters. Overall I don't like the idea as I like the current categories which all have screens to tell you exactly when the goal has been accomplished.

Tournaments/tax collection missions that you get at the feasts I imagine with a pinch of trading thrown in while moving between the tournaments.
