Hey all, noticed in Resources that nobody has given out premade splits yet. These are helpful for new runners since it gives you a direction and saves you the trouble of making your own splits, and saves existing runners the trouble of typing a lot if they're picking up a new category that doesn't mirror existing splits. Dat lowered barrier of entry, amirite?
Make sure to set your variables accordingly: New Game/NG+, Difficulty, FPS, and system - Character will be correct for obvious reasons, but everything else is set to NG, Standard, 120 because that's what I play. The splits don't change between difficulties and NG/NG+ so there's nothing amiss there - just want to make sure you're saving the right stuff in the right files.
There's a LOT of splits. I don't personally use Subsplits for RE2make, but if you do, these can be easily modified for it (if you use it, you probably know how to do it). It's quite nice if you use splits.io. Also means there's a lot of button pressing if you don't have the autosplitter, so sorry, console crowd. shrug
I also have SpeedGuidesLive notes for the A scenarios if anyone uses the plugin and is interested. I haven't sat down and made any for B yet.

Feel free to yell at me if I screwed anything up. I haven't actually done a Claire B run yet so I'm not 100% sure on the route, I'm just going off memory from watching a few others stream it.
Mods: feel free to toss this in Resources if you see fit to do so.
Hi all. Decided to submit myself to the rigors of Any% (US) for one of my 12 Hour Challenge entries. Blaster Master is a childhood favorite of mine, and I've always enjoyed the game casually. I learned a few of the speed strats for funsies, mainly the deathwarps and the door glitch to clip through the barriers in Areas 4 and 5, but I never actually sat down and put a full run together for reasons I don't actually have (just never did). Area 8 and the final boss are the only real roadblocks I see to my becoming a Real Blaster Master Speedrunner (TM). Any tips or tutorials I should look at for those 2 areas?
Also, what is the preferred emulator for the community? I don't see any information for that here. I don't run any NES games so I don't have one yet - I normally play on 3DSVC but I can't stream that.
Also also, is there a discord link?
Hi guys. Being playing casually, going to learn one of the A routes once I have my Super Meat Boy time at a satisfactory level. I had Sourcenext working fine in Windows 10 64 bit, but I hosed it up trying to install the English text mod so I could casual my way through the game with a little less trial and error. I can't figure out how to completely uninstall so I can get a fresh install. Even after using the uninstall wizard, when I try to reinstall using the setup (as seen in Steven's first Sourcenext install tutorial) both boxes are still lit up and I can't figure out where to go from there (I assume the first one is to play the game and the second is uninstall/repair, but every combination of things I've tried on the second menu has been fruitless). I've tried reinstalling it using Steven's newer tutorial of copypasting the data folder into the correct spot, but that bring up an error prompt that no combination of patches and different exes can fix. Any thoughts?
