Good luck!

Yes, Xbox NTSC is the fastest version. This is due to load times and framerates.

Yeah, that makes sense. I'm okay with either direction, so I would just make sure with other runners what should be done.

It wouldn't make that much of a difference to me, so it's up to you guys that make rules for the runs. I'm going to run the game either way to try to get the best time I can, and I wouldn't mind a little extra competition from other consoles, but it's not the end of the world if load times aren't taken out.

Eh, if you want to see the best at the game, go watch Darkpapo1 :P

AGDQ 2014 introduced me to the idea. Seeing MLSTRM's run of Ty the Tasmanian Tiger at ESA showed me that running the game was an actual thing. Then I just learned the tricks and started doing it!

Hi, I'm Kythol. I speedrun Ty the Tasmanian Tiger on GC Emulator because I don't own a Gamecube or an Xbox copy of Ty1. I own a ps2 copy but it's really slow, so I'm not going to bother using it. I'm trying my best to get a copy of it for Xbox but until then GC Emu runs are the best I've got. Not the most popular game to run, but I used to play the game as fast as possible when I was a kid without knowing what speedrunning was. The only tricks I knew were running up the side of the mountain on Ship Rex and that gliding at a certain time gave you extra height. Running the game is very nostalgic for me. Anyways, hope you guys come watch me attempt to run Ty1 and enjoy!

And yes, I use an actual controller to run the game. No point in using a keyboard as playing with a controller is much more fun!
