This is specifically for gambatte-speedrun (linked in the R/B rules), which as far as I'm aware is the only gameboy emulation that shows the version you are using upon hard reset. Similar wording to the R/B rules would be fine, maybe something like this:

If using emulator, you must do one of the following to prove your run is using an accepted emulator:

  1. Capture the entire emulator including the window border for the submitted video.
  2. If using Gambatte-Speedrun, hard reset the emulator using Ctrl-R or the menu option before the start of every individual attempt, and include the footage of that reset in your run submission video.

Just for clarification, do you still need to capture the entire window of the emulator if you are using the latest release of the GambatteSpeedrun emulator? When you reset with that emulator, it shows near the bottom what version you are using, so as long as you hard reset before the start of each run and keep that in your vod there would be proof as to what you are running on. This is what is allowed in the pokemon gen 1 speedrunning rules (check the rules for red/blue glitchless if you want more clarification) as to not force emulator runners to capture the entire window with the borders, which looks fairly bad on stream. I figured I'd bring it up if the mods weren't aware, because it seems a bit silly to not allow this.
