No great reason for a glitchless category since 95% of our current runs on the leaderboard don't use the invulnerability glitches, generally. I don't think we'll make a seperate category for glitchless because it's difficult to define with some various tricks used in the run... Then we would have to sort out many of the runs to correspond to the new rule set if they followed those conditions.
The typical protocol is if the moderator doesn't respond in 2 weeks, and / or has been inactive for an extended period of time, you can then request moderator privelages for the board. This is done on the sites forum - at least that is how it was done the last time I did that, which was years ago.
Love the enthusiasm for the game and I do think the board needs revising with rules and category storting and such. For example, I think 1 credit clear runs should be sorted out from non 1CC. Because it is a different playstyle with different resources.
Discord sounds cool, I'll probably join it.
@Werzhil has lost his right to submit to the Ghosts'n Goblins Series speedrun.com leaderboard as a result of what has happened. I understand he showed some remorse for what he did, and I hope he can continue honestly from here on out.
If I understood correctly, the method to cheat used was editing gameplay of multiple save states together. This explains the matching audio (Most of the time.)
Werhilz has removed his run from the leaderboard.
However, with the run removed by Werhilz himself, it seems that no further action be taken. At least, I'm not sure what we as the mods should do immediately.
Currently, the evidence against Werzhil is not strong enough to support removing his run from the leaderboard. This concrete evidence is 2 spots in which the audio does not match his gameplay perfectly. This could be related to a PC issue with the emulator. I'm not certain.
There has also been a pointing out to the Mesen emulator not displaying correctly while paused, however this evidence is not strong, and Werhilz has refuted this saying he used a program to reduce resources.
Though a couple pieces of audio may be out of place, the bulk of the run has mic audio that matches the gameplay of the video. This is a strong support to his run in my opinion, as faking something like that for a whole run, seems, like an absurd deception to pull off.
Many people have inspected his run and have tried to find things that are weird. One of those things actually is a strategy that some of the top runners hadn't considered! Using the Shield in the Sardius battle at the end of the game to block one of the lasers.
I will say that it certainly is possible to advance to this level in a short period of time. Some people can pick up games very quickly, which involves efficient practice, and study of the game. Werhilz has no obligation to prove his innocence, if we are to go by virtue of 'Innocent until proven guilty' especially in the context of this leaderboard alone. And it seems that obligation has diminished, in return for how he has been treated.
I've taken a closer look at the video. We have some good evidence that's it not cheated from the video alone. This evidence is an input display, as well as audio (button sounds) matching the button presses in the input display.
And according to his Livesplit in this recording, he has finished 1 run, but made 331 attempts at finishing.
The strategies used in the video are smart strategies from what I could tell.
For example, the dodge of the bosses claws in Stage 5, that can be predicted with some knowledge of the timing of that attack. He almost got hit, for sure.
I do have a concern: That is that during the overworld screen, I don't see an input on the input display to advance the screen. And I don't believe holding right will work there.
Another thing I was not familiar with was the invincibility setup in the beginning of Stage 3. That can be very tricky but I don't know how consistent that particular setup is.
These 2 concerns right now, don't warrant an removal of the run. I am curious about the overworld screen though, that is strange that I don't hear or see a button to advance that screen.
Please discuss or point out anything else you find questionable of the run. Thank you for your concern.

Both moderators have been absent for an extended period of time, and do not answer my messages in social media for over 2-3 weeks? Thank you
Requesting moderation privilege for Madou King Granzort. The current moderator hasn't logged on in a year and my (first) run has been pending for a while now, something like a month? I've also attempted to contact the moderator bmosley with no response. https://www.speedrun.com/madou_king_granzort Thanks!
Requesting moderation privilege for Bulk Slash. The current moderator hasn't logged on in a month and my run has been pending for a couple weeks now. https://www.speedrun.com/Bulk_Slash/ Thanks! Also I checked for MFA in my account settings but only saw an option for email verification in the general tab, hopefully that's it.
Any interest in an all notes category? Perhaps it could be fun to extract all the notes conditions from the enemies... I noticed that some parts are left blank if you don't experience an aspect of an enemy? Just throwing it out there. I'm not planning to do that myself. Thought it could be interesting. Ta!
I'd prefer to keep it simple for Super Ghouls n Ghosts, myself. "Bad ending" doesn't make sense. There is no bad ending, period. 2 loops completes the game and receives the credits. I know that the Ghosts n Goblins leaderboard has 1 loop category available, but I don't think that justifies the category be available in SGnG. I will point out however that NES GnG infinitely loops, while the rest of the games in the series do not. I personally don't agree that 1 loop should be a category in NES GnG but there are a lot of people playing it, partly because its in the Big 20 #5 as a goal.
If other moderators want to chime in maybe we can decide something.
