For version 1.0466 shadow achievements count for the total achievements. In the current versions (2.031+), shadow achievements don't count.
For example, you should probably speedrun 40 Achievements with 1.0466 rather than the current version.
Just wondering, the rules say we need to include pressing battle but could their be an exception for replays? I wasn't recording at the time but I could record the replay. I'm pretty sure they can't be tampered with so I was wondering if these were valid.
Under resources you can find the download to a nice program called XMouse - it's fairly easy to use, just set scroll up and scroll down to left click
That's awesome! WoT speedrunning is pretty unknown so more people is epic
Sounds good; should I say something in the WoT discord about the new categories?
(to start growing the community)
Just got a new best in this category, it's very luck based and map dependent (mines probably being the best) but it's actually pretty fun
Here is an example run for a <T5, 1 kill speedrun I didn't have much time so I forewent the 10 kill challenge
In my opinion, premium tanks have no discernable advantage in this category so unless an op prem tank comes out, standard and premium tanks can be combined. (One could make the argument that there should be a free to play category however).
I agree, I played a couple battles when they first came out but I've disabled them in settings. They just don't have the same feel as Randoms.
I like the idea about the in-game timer, makes things easier Also, game version shouldn't matter, as long as there isn't a silly new mechanic, it could probably just be one version category.
I'm far from a mod but I believe new categories are created if multiple people have an interest in the same thing or if it is a new and exciting idea for all. I'm not sure, that's just my opinion.
I don't think they're going to add it. Can you better explain the objective of this new category?
Seems legit. Maybe some of the rules could be reworded but it's still a new category. Doneness of cookies seems quite subjective, is there a way to make it less so? Maybe a chart with temp vs time to ensure a base level or something?
here's a quick spreadsheet to better explain my idea: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1O6_EA55JVGm83G9Ctc5w0vBZvNPWYOsea0-g-PZ-cTU/edit?usp=sharing
I had an idea for a category
-
Fastest time to get 10 kills (it would be fastest to do it in one battle but maybe not) Other numbers of kills could be used like 6 and 8 or even 50 but 10 seems like a decent starting challenge.
-
A few rules would include starting the time when the first battle starts and ending it when the 10th kill is achieved (and removing the loading time in between games). This would need to be done in a Random Battle (to prevent a obj 140 killing a bunch of T1s in a private match). Verification would be achieved by summing the number of kills in each battle.
-
A potential category division would be between <T5 and T5+ (because seal clubbing is a thing). Another division could be with using the same tank/ dying.
What do you all think about it? I'll probably post a <T5 10 kills run sometime soon
I wanted to get into IRL cookie baking and had a few questions:
- Only whisks, spoons, forks and scoops can be used, does measuring cup fall under scoop and do mixing spoons and measuring spoons fall under spoons?
- Are knives allowed? I often use a knife to level off the flour and to cut up the butter to melt faster.
- Are chocolate chips required? (Maybe a chocolate chip and non chocolate chip category could be created).
- How soon after baking must the cookies be tested for doneness and size (Cookies will continue to bake while the tray is hot making it a potential gray area)
- Do eggs need to remain in the carton or can they be laid on the counter? (I know ingredients can be out and open but I wasn't sure if the shell or the carton counts as the container)
That makes sense. It only takes a minute to complete at most so it's definitely a trivial game. Thanks for the response!
I was wondering if 15-puzzle (the 4x4 grid with 1 free space to move squares) was considered a video game. I know it's a physical puzzle but I was wondering if it is worthy enough to become a category.
