I was just wondering if there is a reason submissions for Trip World only allow for the GBC as the platform?

Is there a reason that GB, SGB2, GBP, GBI etc, runs are not accepted?

Yeah, in all the boards I've seen the platform is used to show what platform the run was done on. Also, the original platform should be GB then, and not GBC, as it's a grey cart game. :)

I made an edit and now you can choose your system.

I have no idea what modern systems the game is available on (3DS? VC? Wii U? Switch?). I suggest that we sum up GBA/GB/GBC as GB.

Very few people run on GBC or GBA because of the difficulty in recording; so feel free to combine them if you want to, I doubt we'd ever see runs on them

I can give you a full list of platforms though!

GBC, GBA, 3DSVC, GBP, SGB2, GB, New3DSVC, GBI

GBP = Game Boy Player GBI = Game Boy Interface

And it's up to you guys if you accept converted SGB1 times or not. You should probably explicitly state somewhere that SGB times must be converted if you decide to accept them too :) (Simple converter we use http://nudua.com/convert )

I would urge not to use SGB1. But this is not a final statement by any means.

I went ahead and enabled all the systems that are also enabled on the Super Mario Land 2 board, SGB1 included. Runs that used GBC now show up as having no specified system. They need to be edited to "GB" (or whichever system they used). But I see no harm in keeping it the way it is right now.

If you want to submit a GBC, GBA run, submit it as GB. If you want to submit a New3DSVC run, submit it as 3DSVC.

I don't know what GBI is. A google image search only yielded images of the Gamecube's Gameboy Player...
