Hi, my name is ZCubed. I've been an avid time trialer in MKW for a couple of years because I love the challenge of optimizing driving and tech to the best of my abilities. I personally feel that restricting players to use the most luck-based item set prevents the categories from reaching their true potential as a speedrun, which leads me to my question. Is it possible that all item sets could be allowed on the leaderboards?
Your description was a category at one point, but no one ran it in the three months it was on the board. There's not enough interest for your idea to be a category.
Truth be told, I don't understand the purpose of adding a pacifist category. It doesn't really add enough of a challenge to warrant its own category. IWs also wouldn't be a relevant edition since they wouldn't get proper competition; there wouldn't be interest. IWs were a part of the leaderboards in the past, but were removed for the aforementioned reason.
NTR is allowed for all any% runs that are slower than about 1:03.
The main issue with capture cards right now is that they will soon, if not already, be unavailable for purchase directly from retailers. If you care about having a capture card new, purchase one immediately. Otherwise, it's not worth worrying about. Webcam recordings, as J_duude stated, are always accepted.
Coinless would be bad because you have to wait for the timer to tick down to 9 seconds each time before finishing a level.

Mario Also, there's something that I would like to explain. When I originally created this forum post in 2016, I did not know if someone had done this before or not. I was not claiming to have found a new strat, but rather asking if this shortcut had been done before, and how it works. Since Lafungo remembered that it was done in 2012, this is neither of our strats to claim to our name. The creator of the strat probably had come up with a name for it, and if he had not, he would probably rather the strat remain nameless.
The World Record is still easily beatable regardless of that fact. The rule did not exist when his run was verified, and it would be unfair to remove the run that was valid at the time.
