Hi guys. tell me, I have a physical copy of the game. can I start training for speedranaspidran on it and later switch to the digital version? is there a difference in performing tricks or movements in the physical version from the digital version, or is there only a difference in the time of downloads. and I also have a Nintendo pro controller. is it good for speedrun? I don't like joy con. which gamepad will the leaders use? perhaps they are used by the pro controller and joy con together for different situations

Hi Briwly,

Thankfully, the latest version of Odyssey is the preferred method of running the game so playing physical is no problem at all go nuts.

It seems most runners like to use Pro Controller, and I myself switched to it after years of doing runs with Joy Cons. But go with whatever set up works best for you!

whats the difference with pro controller and joy cons (ik this isnt relevate but still)

For the physical and digital, the difference is only between loads. And for the controllers, you cant throw cappy down as fast with pro controller than joy cons, but that doesn't play a role in a run.

I think the difference really just comes down to comfort-ability for most runners. I find certain motion control throws to be a bit easier to do with Pro Controller myself, but really at the end of the day it truly is just a preference

I prefer to use the divided joy-cons as they give me better feeling of using the motion controls.

its doesn't matter what you use in speedruns. pro controller and joy cons are both good for any%. tyron uses pro con, busterdoggy uses joycons. About physical version: that have one small difference: loading screen a little bit longer than in digital. it actually not critical:)
