Iv been a bunch of speed runners like Hugo one and now I’m interested in speed running I chose portal because I’m decent at it but idk any strats or glitches

New in the Speedrunning community, but always love to watch my childhood games being crushed by skilled Players. I also chose Portal 1 and the category glitchless for my first "speedrun self-done". I have read the rules and have 1 Question: There is a rule called "Item Climbing". Does this include building "stair-like-strucktures", for example a camera and the companion cube, to pass a chamber or is it just for using a single Item to lift you up? (like in HL2 Speedruns) I don´t want to violate the rules or bother moderators with false demos or tapes so I need to know that. If "stair-building" is ok I would be 381nd with my time of 34:34:05 recorded by timesplit-program. would send my first video if can reach at least under 25:00mins. I hope to get an answer because glitchless is the only category I think is within my possibilities and so I want to play by the rules. Your sincierly Waffletofski
