Howdy y'all.

NOTE: Assumed reading is http://www.speedrun.com/yumenikki/guide/8smoh where three glitches are described:
  - 4x speed medamaude, no Yuki Onna / H&S
  - 4x speed medamaude, w/ Yuki Onna & H&S
  - 8x speed bike, w/ Yuki Onna & H&S

HOWEVER. That guide does not describe 8x speed bike, no Yuki Onna / H&S, so I give that here. It's precisely the same as 4x speed medamaude, no Yuki Onna / H&S, except replace all instances of "medamaude" in the guide with "bike."

THE ROUTE:

Medamaude  - note: these two you have to backtrack after getting them

Hat & Scarf --- Note - to get to H&S, back track out of Nopperabou's room, go through the north door, through big red, through the box in the area with the psychadelic background, finally go west. Thank FourthDerivative's TAS for this part of the route.

Speed Glitch

In Any% it is optimal to perform Speed Glitch in order to quadruple Madotsuki's normal speed. The bicycle is required to perform this.

1. Sit in the chair in Madotsuki's dream room
2. Open the menu with X
3. Equip the bicycle
4. Press down and then Z to exit the chair

If performed successfully, Madotsuki's walking speed with be 4x normal. The effect disappears if you equip another effect.

Speed glitch in the new route

You have to execute this trick pretty much like the normal speed glitch (with the bicycle) but with other effects, and depending on where you're in the route, you won't use the same effects:

Very first speed glitch has to be done after getting MEDAMAUDE:

1. Sit on the chair by pressing Z
2. Open menu and select MEDAMAUDE effect
3. After selecting the effect press Z in order to move with the chair
4. Leave Madotsuki's room
5. Press 5 in order to spawn MEDAMAUDE
6. Take the egg back and select it from the menu immediately after
7. Go back to Madotsuki's room
8. Sit on the invisible chair
9. Leave the chair by facing down and pressing Z

After getting WITCH and before going for POOP HAIR you have to execute speed glitch differently:

1. Sit on the chair by pressing Z
2. Open menu and select YUKI-ONNA effect
3. Immediately after, open the menu and select HAT AND SCARF
4. Press Z in order to move with the chair
5. Press 1 to use HAT AND SCARF effect, and press 1 again to go back to normal
6. Open menu and select MEDAMAUDE
7. Sit on the chair by pressing Z (even though there's no chair, but Madotsuki will sit down it's k)
8. Leave chair by facing down and pressing Z

After getting NEON and before going for KNIFE you'll have to execute the speed glitch ¤8:

1. Sit on the chair by pressing Z
2. Open menu and select YUKI-ONNA effect
3. Immediately after, open the menu and select HAT AND SCARF
4. Press Z in order to move with the chair
5. Press 1 to use HAT AND SCARF effect, and press 1 again to go back to normal
6. Open menu and select BICYCLE
7. Sit on the chair by pressing Z (even though there's no chair, but Madotsuki will sit down it's k)
8. Leave chair by facing down and pressing Z

You'll have to repeat the speed glitch ¤8 after getting the TRIANGLE KERCHIEF and before going for FROG.

Notes:

How to preform 8x speed glitch
1. Sit in Madotsuki's chair while asleep
2. Equip Yuki-onna
3. Equip Hat and scarf
4. Press Z to take chair
5. Press 1 to become a snowman, then 1 again to change back.
6. Equip Bike
7. Bring the chair back to Madotsuki's desk
8. Leave chair
(4x medamaude is the exact same. Just replace step 6 with equip medamaude)

How to preform 8x speed glitch (No Yuki-Onna)
1. Sit in Madotsuki's chair while asleep
2. Equip bike
3. Press Z to take chair
4. Enter The Nexus
5. Press 5 to drop the bike effect
6. Re-equip bike
7. Enter Madotsuki's desk
8. Leave chair

RngDemon is an event that has a 1/6 chance of happening. After getting Buyo buyo make your way back to the FC over world type area, and navigate up and around until you see tiles on the ground that are the same as the tiles that let you enter the area to get to Buyo buyo. Exit and re-enter this area until you see a demon appear. Once the demon appears interact with it and you will teleport right next to the demon effect.
