You crazy crazy for taking to the src forums about an issue that could be resolved by dm'ing a mod.
best thing to do would be to join discord.gg/p2sr if the above messages didn't help.
We are still waiting on an official category to be made into the speedrun plugin SAR.
There is not currently a way to watch demos outside of Portal 2 at the moment. However there is a site called https://autorender.portal2.sr/ that automatically renders some of the IL times.
I also agree, proper timing is very well developed in both communities
We are currently working to make proper timing and rules for the cooperative update, we also wanted to give the creator a couple of days in the event there was some last minute updates following the full release. Some runs and routing have already been done @ discord.gg/p2sr if you'd like to see what people have so far.
One that people use commonly on the Linux side is Adrift, which can be found here: https://github.com/mlugg/adrift
If you have any questions, you can ask in the p2sr discord, since we are the main community that uses Adrift.
No, that would not be legal.
I'm a little confused by what you are asking, if you are asking about making macros for the shop, then that would not be allowed. However, if there is a way to make the shop interactions faster in normal gameplay, then I'd ask that you join the challenge discord and show some context to how you triggers this "turbo" mode.
Either way, if this "turbo" mode is considered not allowed, then those runs would not be allowed on the leaderboards.
Currently the best way to get splits would be to ask for other's in the challenge discord, otherwise you'd have to make your own splits, as there are many different splits that some runners use, and other runners don't.
You'd need to get a good amount of people in the community to run it for us to add it to the leaderboards.
If you are looking for a Portal 1 tutorial, their discord is @ https://discord.gg/UPuJbXDZ. Otherwise, our "OOB" category would be SLA, in which there is a tutorial that goes in hand with the main tutorials. This SLA tutorial can be found here: (Keep in mind it is not meant for beginners)
The commands necessary for bhop and ahop respectively can be found on any of the ILs under the bhop or ahop category tab. Once on a bhop or ahop tab, you just click the button to show the rules and they will be there.
Recently I noticed that the text that would normally tell the placement of the run no longer shows up. I mean this specifically for the moderation hub. It would seem that whatever game is first in my queue periodically will have the placement show up in the submission, however 80% of the time it will not show there either.
Another thing that has been an issue for a while is that links do not show up in the description of a submitted run. This makes verification a bit less convenient for games that run on the source engine, as most (if not all) of our games require demos at a certain point on the leaderboards. We have to click into the run itself and then grab the link from there to verify.
The third bug I found has to do with the "verified" tab in the hub, if a run that was formerly rejected gets switched to verified, then that rejection reason will to show up under the run, but instead of it being the "rejection reason" it says that it is the "approval reason", when its not. It would be nice to be able to add an approval reason when switching runs from rejected to verified, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we didn't have it.
The fourth thing I wanted to add that isn't technically a bug, is please allow us a way to restrict the video submission to links only, would make it easier for us.
The reasoning as to why most times do not have a video is because we simply don't require them, demos can be played in game and watched from there. As of the reason that I have been submitting most of the times on other's behalf is because we moved our boards from a spreadsheet to this full blown page, and as such it would be easier for me and sear to move all the times over ourselves.
If you need help with any routes in specific, I highly recommend you join our discord server @ discord.gg/p2sr where we can give you extensive help.
I've already pretty extensively played Portal, Portal 2 and Neon White and im looking for something new.
