Yeah that's fine. We manually moved all these runs ourselves anyway as a trial. This was an experiment that all mods agreed was a better implementation than the current romhack series that speedrun.com defaults to.

As for how it will be handled, every romhack will be given a page on the combined leaderboard if requested. We don't plan to reject any.

Yes I have confirmation from azder, stuntcoyote, sapphron, matrixugly, mumu_didi, topsy turvy and bfrobber. I can ask them to post here to confirm though.

@Daravae Thanks. Yes the series can be deleted and all the rest of the individual romhack leaderboards can also be deleted (except for project base). I have confirmation from the other mods that they are happy for all the leaderboards to be deleted. (I can DM the proof if you like).

Having too many categories in Misc (See: https://www.speedrun.com/supermetroidhacks) cuts off at the top. It probably needs some sort of scrollbar. I'm pretty sure this has been reported but I wasn't 100% so re-reporting it.

Hi, we (the community) created a combined leaderboard for all Super Metroid romhacks in order to keep them all in one place with the same mods and to clean up people's profiles (Found here: https://www.speedrun.com/supermetroidhacks ). We've kept it for a while and everyone seems to prefer it so can a full mod please delete the individual leaderboards that I created for romhacks. These are:

Are you going to be adding a way to change the link colour separate from the theme? I like the new layout but the Super Metroid theme looks awful imo and I can't seem to find a way to fix it without having a super bright purple for the banner colour, which looks worse than the darker purple we currently use.

If you look at a profile of someone who runs a lot of 'Fangames' (I wanna be the Boshy style games), their profiles are super long and imo untidy, rather than neat and condensed.

@HowDenKing we chose this way because then we have the same mods for all romhacks rather than anyone being able to request, but also (and most importantly) because it groups all the romhacks under one heading in your profile rather than each romhack looking like a separate game, which is a lot cleaner for profiles that have a lot of romhacks. We trialled it by submitting runs to both a singular page and each individual page and afaik nobody disagreed with grouping them being better, so now all new hacks are added to the one page and we don't have to create any new game pages. Hope that answers your question.

I feel like all the people complaining are looking at the default white + green layout. Please switch to nightmode and change the green to whatever colour you want, then complain if you dislike it. Thanks for the hard work Pac.

Hi, tutorials can be found here: http://crocomi.re. I agree with the above that if you're new you should most definitely start with Kraid first. However if you are simply trying to learn the diagonal bomb jump then check out tutorials by either sweetnumb, twocat or staticnine. All 3 are great tutorials on the DBJ. I'll try my best to explain the trick in words here:

1. lay first bomb, then tap right (assuming you're going right)
2. as the bomb is flashing just as it explodes lay another bomb
3. lay your third bomb pretty much at the peak of your bomb jump here, then hold left.
4. As you reach the second bomb again you need to tap right to face the opposite direction in morph ball. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!!!
5. After the bomb explodes you towards the right again start holding right on the dpad. Unmorph towards the end for extra leniency in reaching the platform if you are trying at moat specifically.

Hope this helps. Be sure to check out the tutorials I mentioned for better explanations.

They're not separated but you can filter by a certain platform to only see runs on VC for example. We also do our best to correctly mark which runs are done on which platform, however due to a lot of runs being migrated from DeerTier, which doesn't specify platform there will be errors, especially the further down the ranks you go.

zoast chose to not submit a video for whatever reason, however there are multiple highlights of him achieving this time and better on his channel.

zoast hasn't submitted the 41:19 yet because he has chosen not to submit it. We're not slow at approving, there's nothing to approve. We can't force him to submit his runs.
