Originally seen in this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1637730/discussions/0/3282569322830161775/ In short, it skips most floors of the Sequoia Castle, being available at the start of the third (mushroom) floor and taking you all the way to the roof, skipping the second and third bosses in the area. Using the current record as reference this glitch would save about 7 minutes, possibly more if it reduces necessary level grinding. (no other transition in the castle seems to share this bug, so unfortunately this can't be used to skip Parasite X as well)
Unfortunately there's a catch. I've tried replicating it myself and the glitch appears to be tied to low framerates. My computer can get to 10 fps by turning everything up to max, and at that level it's incredibly consistent, only takes a couple of seconds of transitioning to trigger. On the other hand, the highest framerate I've gotten it to trigger was around ~34 fps, and that was after about 20 seconds of going back and forth. 40 fps and higher, I couldn't get it to happen.
Just though I'd get this info out there, since I noticed the runs don't seem to be using it. Hopefully the FPS thing doesn't end up being an issue.
Yeah, I had seen this talked about on the Discord. Would definitely save a huge chunk of time, and might even avert the need for planning for some of the bosses in the castle.
On the other hand, the fact that it's tied to framerate and thus not something everyone can do (for example my computer isn't low spec enough for this to work), or if it had to be done with something outside the game makes it a little iffy. It strikes me as similar to zips in Elden Ring which are only allowed in one unrestricted category because not everyone can do it. But I'm not an authority on the matter or anything so it'd be up to the community :).
Also I think this was just patched out in 1.0.11, so it'd only be something usable in downpatching now.
Makes me curious if there's any other glitches like that in the game though! Thanks for the find and the post :)
