I've done a ton of research on the zips in this game. I've found that where you enter the dungeon will decide where your zip ends up. This has been theorized before, but in my testing I was able to control zips fairly well by entering the dungeon in the same spot every time. Below is a link to my Youtube playlist that contains all the zips that are even slightly useful. The important thing in these videos is to see where I am entering the cave.
